When will Apple directly compete with Surface Pro?

I love that they’re doing this. I hope it does well and puts pressure on Apple to compete with similarly sized screens/devices.

This line about USB-C cracked me up:

I'm really into minimalism. The iPad concept of a "third device", which it is still very much for the vast majority of users, really is in conflict with reducing the number of tech gadgets you carry with you, manage and maintain.

If Microsoft can just make the tablet experience a bit better, they would be close to having the dual-use concept nailed.
