Pretty much same for me! I ordered brown so maybe that was a factor? It’s actually arriving early today. Seems to have gotten through customs quick.

Dying to see photos of the oem link bands so if you don’t mind posting some I’d really appreciate it.

Impressions: the leather looks a lot lighter than expected, and, honestly, kind of plasticey. Disappointed with the evident leather quality, and I think the old leather loops are better. On the other hand, the magnets feel very strong---I'm a lot less worried about this thing staying on my wrist.

I initially tried to order the the poppy leather link and the blue braided solo loop with an S6 and was getting a delivery of mid November. 🤯
I ended up ordering the poppy leather link on its own with a delivery of late October. Still crazy. This was all the day after the announcement, btw.

Apart from the braid I tried to do the same. Ended up going in store to buy the watch and ordered a strap for delivery sometime this month.
I think so! Though it definitely isn't as nice as some of the gold Milanese loops people are posting... so I just ordered that one too
Yeah those prototypes that leaked a few months ago also looked really plastic-y. That was part of the reason I was so convinced they were fake. Bummer to see Apple hasn’t managed to make them look any better with the final product.
Apple has taken an increasingly weird direction with its leather bands since the Classic Buckle line was discontinued. I have completely lost interest in them since that happened.
The black definitely seemed more popular. I liked both but felt the brown would fit better with my gold watch. Was really hard deciding between the two.
I had a ship date of October 20 but I cancelled the order today. I think I'll wait until I can see one in person before paying $100. I had ordered the Saddle Brown but the Baltic Blue looks good too so that also makes me want to wait to see them in person.
Anyway, maybe someone who ordered after me will get an earlier ship date.

remember that newer (in this case newer Leather Loop) does NOT always mean better and if you have a 44mm Watch you still have the choice of the “classic” Leather Loop if you feel it’s really better. Might be better to get one sooner than later if Apple discontinues them in favour of the Link. I think overall I still like the old loop a bit more, but as someone with a 40mm Watch, I’d easily take the Leather Link than just more Modern Buckles which I’ll never buy, I’ve ordered A Baltic Blue and look forward to when it arrives!

I am just not sure which one to go for. I have the braided loop on order (Inverness Green) and reading they they are stretching. Then I read this one only attached by magnets (I did kinda know this already). Delivery on leather loop is 30th October and Braided is 24th November.
Hmm... not real thrilled with the lighter brown color. I was expecting it to be darker.

The Baltic blue looks nice! Not sure what he was expecting. It’s pretty clear that the band is attached by magnets only. Of course it’s gonna slide off if you deliberately peel off one end...

So I've had mine now for a bit. I quite like mine in brown with the gold S4 Apple Watch. I find it to be quite comfortable and lightweight. Hasn't loosened for me yet although I do feel the magnets push against another a bit when I rest my wrist down. The magnets are very strong and I don't have any concern for my band to loosen on its own. I think the brown works great with my gold watch and tanner skin tone.

Way better than Modern Buckle I think. For me, that clasp it has is a deal breaker for me, as well as how much effort it is to adjust it. Not to mention the Link is quite cheaper too, very glad they introduced this instead of just continuing on with modern Buckle as the only option for 40mm, Leather Loop as the only option for 44mm
the other good thing about the link is the lack of a (metallic) lug means that it won’t directly clash with any Watch, just like the leather loop.
