This guy is claiming that Korean leaker is unknown but also states he agrees with other leakers that the Mini 6 will keep the same form factor with the bezels and home button. Larger display just smaller bezelsI have Best Buy credit and almost pulled the trigger, but as fate (and a snowstorm) would have it, I waited. LOL!
I dont believe that's right though. The Mini has always followed the Air and the Air 4 just got the updated design. I would expect the Mini 6 to get the A14 and updated design as well. Price will go up to $499 I'd bet. Makes no sense to keep the old design and have it priced higher than the iPad 8. Unless they are going really budget with it by keeping the home button and bezels while dropping the price to $299. I doubt it though.
That looks super fake. I seriously doubt Apple would do a hole punch design like that, not their style. There was a rumor a couple months ago I believe, that said the screen is going to increase from 7.9 to 9.1 inches... those rumors went along with renders also. Here’s a link to one article about that but there were many other sites that reported on it as well.
Sketchy iPad mini 6 leak points towards in-screen Touch ID, punch-hole camera
A very sketchy iPad mini 6 leak has revealed the potential design of Apple's next tablet. It reportedly offers a punch-hole camera and in-screen Touch ID.www.phonearena.com
IMO, I really like the looks of the new design in those renders and I hope that they prove to be accurate... if so I’ll be first in line!!
Apple had increased the pricing points of their consumer iPads, starting with the iPad Air 4. Since there's almost no competition for Apple in this segment (premium small tablet), I'm sure Apple will be comfortable pushing the price for the mini as well. That would make it a premium device I'm not sure it's heading that direction?
Same. I’m probably still going to buy it. Just disappointed that it probably won’t be redesigned around the Air. It will probably just be smaller bezels and newer internals. As much as I want to believe it’ll be a shrunken Air 4, I know how Apple treats us Mini fans and expect nothing more than the reduced bezels of the 10.5” Air and Pro models. I’ll probably still buy it.
With that I would expect the current price to be maintained. I‘d be more than willing to pay $100 more for a shrunken Air 4 though.Same. I’m probably still going to buy it. Yeah but that is what I don’t get - the iPad mini already essentially has the reduced side bezels of the old 10.5” iPad Pro. It actually copied the Mini chassis. They couldn’t get to even 8.5” on the screen without redoing the chassis anyway, so it would be a complete waste to retool a new chassis that uses the old design langage. The only thing they could do using the existing chassis would be to bring the screen aspect ratio in line with the 10.9” iPad Air 4 screen without changing chassis, which would make the screen only go from 7.9” to 8.3”. I don’t think they are going to do that.As much as I want to believe it’ll be a shrunken Air 4, I know how Apple treats us Mini fans and expect nothing more than the reduced bezels of the 10.5” Air and Pro models. Most? If most buyers were hoping for an iPad mini Apple would be releasing new models yearly. If Apple doesn’t mind waiting 4 years between models and using “old” parts in those “new” minis it speaks to just how many people are buying them compared to other models. My kid‘s old iPhone 10X has better specs than the newest mini was released with.
However, I’m not hating on the mini. I’d probably buy one if Apple releases one that’s more in line with the Air 4 or pros. Maybe this is the year.
Would you buy the 6 if it had a larger display, smaller bezels and newer processor for the same price as the 5? Id be disappointed it wasn't a mini Air 4, but Id consider it.As much as I want to believe it’ll be a shrunken Air 4, I know how Apple treats us Mini fans and expect nothing more than the reduced bezels of the 10.5” Air and Pro models. Same, a mini Air 4 would check all the boxes for me and be a day one purchase. I’ve had every mini except the 3, so it’s a safe bet I’d still consider a more modestly updated 6 but I’d hold out for at least a small discount and stick with a base model.Would you buy the 6 if it had a larger display, smaller bezels and newer processor for the same price as the 5? A March event on a different day is still up in the air.Looks like no iPad mini 6 this month.
I wouldn't hold my breath. They went two years between iPad Pro releases (2018-2020), no reason to think they will update them after one year all the sudden. Oct at earliest Id say, probably not until next March. Who knows with the Mini. They went FOUR years between the 5 and 6. Could be years before we see another...A March event on a different day is still up in the air.

Right, so Oct will make 19 months which is about right, especially with the production delays Apple has had with devices since the pandemic. March is too soon. It's really more like 1.25-1.5 years rather than 2 full years between iPad Pro updates.
The 2020 iPad Pro was a very minor upgrade. As I result, I don’t think that it’s far fetched if a major upgrade to the iPad Pro were to happen next month. A lot of other people seem to think so too. Look at the Buyer’s Guide.no reason to think they will update them after one year all the sudden.
Great strategy. I might do the same. ?I timed my iPad mini 5 purchase just right. I just got it a week ago, so I have until March 18th to return it. Apple event coming on March 16th, perfect.
iPad cadence is a little more unpredictable, but many of them seem to be running closer to 18 months these days. The mini has definitely gone longer though. Rumors are pointing to same design but with an 8.4" screen squeezed in. Probably A14. I wouldn't expect much more than that.
