I have no reason not to believe you, or to care at all really. All I know is that I do hours worth of browsing on Chrome on my iPad everyday (even right now) and I can't recall ever experiencing a crash. Sometimes there's no explaining why some people have problems with certain software and others don't.

Just to back up what I'm saying, this is the very first review in the app store for Chrome:

And out of the next 25 reviews, 6 say it crashes all the time. So clearly this goes beyond a handful of people.

Personally, Safari on iOS is my absolute favorite browsing experience of any broweser on any device!
(Internet Explorer on Windows 8 came close, but now it's dead. Thanks Rainbow Randolph. >=(. )

Why are you trying to convince me? I never said I didn't believe you, I just said I've never had a problem with it.

Again, I'm not trying to disagree with you or say that it's just a handful of people, but for every user who hates Chrome so much that they gave it a 1 star review there may be many like me who have had no problems and therefore have never bothered write a review just to say so. It's probably the most popular mobile browser after Safari, so clearly it's working fine for a lot of people too. Like I said, sometimes there's just no explaining why software works flawlessly for some people and is unusable for others.

What's your agenda? Chrome works fine for tons of people as well.

Based on your specific review example, it looks like their problems started as soon as they upgraded, which means it likely was fine before that update. It's an app, updates will likely cause issues every once in a while.

I'm a heavy Google Chrome user. And that's mainly because I like my favourites being synced across all devices...

That's why it's my browser of choice as well. I would probably use Safari if I only used Apple devices.

Chrome works great for me on my Air 2, no crashes and I use it a lot.

I used Atomic Browser for a while as it had less tab refreshes but it was abandoned by its developer.

Now Safari along with AdGuard works well for me on my iPhone and iPad. :(

For some reason I can't pull myself away from Chrome. It is my primary browser on every platform - PC at work, Macbook Pro Retina, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and iPhone 6. The only time I use Safari is the occasional split screen on the iPad Pro.

I have zero performance issues on any of the above and until I do Safari won't be my primary browser.

Opera mini data saving function works through opera engine, not apples webkit. Webpages are rendered in the cloud.

There is a huge disadvantage that browsers are using apples webkit. Any bug in webkit affects all browsers. The latest one was in ios 9.3 which causes browser to crash and all browsers were affected.

Edit. Btw, althought all the other browsers use the same engine as safari, they can be built asthe same way as safari is built. Nowadays other browser are not as limited they were and safari was better. Today i think most browsers are much better than safari from the point of the user.

I use Chrome on my iMac but have always preferred using Safari on my iPad and iPhone. It just feels smoother to me.

Depends which iPad i'm using. if its my 1st gen mini it will be Chrome because Safari is just so slow and crashes a lot on it. For my 1st gen Air and Mini 2 its Safari as i prefer it.
