The only MagSafe accessory I use when needed is a phone stand but otherwise I just use it as is.

I’m personally not a fan of having a popsocket on but I can say the MagSafe strength is great on the case if you are looking to do a popsocket setup.
I know you’re a fan of the Pitaka Edge (I am too), but I’m too nervous about dropping the aluminum Pro to use it very often. I’m wondering, have you dropped your phone in this case, and if so, how’d it go?

I have never dropped my phone and if you can recall last year for the 16PM I pretty much used the Benks ArmorAir the whole time as well and never dropped it then either. (I know titanium vs aluminum is not a fair comparison though)

I have never really been the type to drop my phone so that’s why personally I don’t feel the need to get a bulky case and got hooked on the ultra slims last year when I started using them.

I’m not much of a phone dropper either, but it does happen now and then (like once or twice a year at most) which is enough to give me pause. I didn’t worry about it with the titanium phones because they were so dent resistant, but I’m less relaxed with the aluminum phones. I should probably just get over it—I have AC+ after all…

Wife’s case of choice; she doesn’t care anything about Camera Control. Oddly doesn’t feel TERRIBLE in hand.
I saw these at target lately. They are trying to compete with velvet caviar

Oh yea and you have AC+!

Yea I’m not concerned at all with my phone.

Just enjoy your phone, too much fear is holding you back from enjoying the unmatched feel and form factor imo 😀

I have a friend who works at Apple who has kept all his phones caseless for a long time now, he is anti case. He said AC+ is enough for him and that he loves enjoying the phone the way it was intended to.

To pay for AC+ and use a bulky case imo seems like overkill lol

You’re right, of course. I was comfortable with the titanium and stainless phones, but all the photos of dented phones on Reddit (which aren’t covered under AC+) is messing with my mind. 😂

Yo Zenso which contest do you have
I think you'll regret it unfortunately. Even if yours doesn't come unstuck it's not a tight fit there and the plateau ring is thin and doesn't feel great.

If you like the colours the better option is their Aurora or Prestige ArmorPros. Both of these have an aramid shell with TPU lip much like the Pitaka so won't have the same problem.Colours are not to everyone's taste though.
isnt the Montage the same as the Aurora and Prestige just a different color? It’s at least listed alongside the others. I pulled the trigger last night if the fit or QC aren’t there it’ll go back for credit

So you would be okay with cosmetic damage, aka dents and scratches? Because AC+ will not cover that.
Well I did say “imo” and I know opinions vary.

My opinion is why double dip if you have a bulky super protective case such as all these rugged cases like the Tank, Beats Rugged, Nomad Rugged etc.

They are all easily $50+ cases which provide maximum protection plus paying $140 a year for AC+ doesn’t make sense to me.

Also I’m not even accounting having a whole collection of rugged cases which will then cost you well in the hundreds of dollars. Now you have a full collection of maximum protection cases that you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on and never really needing to utilize your AC+ that you’re dropping $140 on every single year without really utilizing it because you’re in a super protective case anyway.

To me it’s a waste of money but to each their own.

And to answer your question I’m careful with my device and yes like you I like my device to be perfect but if a scratch happens it’s not the end of the world for me. I won’t refrain myself from using the phone the way I enjoy it most because of fear of scratching it. Some people might totally agree, some might think it’s bravery and some might think it’s stupidity to be in an ultra slim case with no screen protector lol

These are all just opinions! 😊

Yeah, that’s my concern. If I get a gnarly dent on a corner, I’ll have to either live with it or replace the phone, which wouldn’t be an easy decision. It’s not so much about cost as it is about being wasteful. That said, having all of these cases that will inevitably end up in a landfill is far from environmentally friendly.

Yup, opinions are like 🫏 — everyone has one. 😆

Often, what feels good emotionally doesn’t make logical sense. That’s the case for me here (no pun intended).

Even though I enjoy debating the technicalities of cases with other weirdos here, ultimately I’m with you in the “whatever floats your boat” camp. 😊
