I dropped my 11PM in a Synthesis from about 4 feet. The screen protector cracked, but the phone has no damage at all. I'm now confident that it can take some drops. I have both Synthesis and Sheath in black and grey. I like 'em.

Claimed better drop protection, and an ever so slightly larger bezel I believe. I went for the Standard Rugged with a screen protector.
They’re the exact same case. The difference is the active case leather has been treated to not absorb sweat or water during physical activities. They both claim the same drop protection and share the exact same dimensions.Is their a discernible difference between the two lol? Both look same to me

The Active looks like fake PU leather and the Rugged looks like questionable real leather.
I actually love the Horween leather on the Rugged. After using it for 2 years (on my X), I never thought that it looks fake.

I returned my rugged active the button were just too stiff, no where as good as the OB symmetry.

No lip on the rugged was my only fault with my Xr one i had for 8 months, the new active has one if you can get one with good buttons.

My two rugged cases for my xr have a decent lip as well as all other rugged cases. Check out all the videos on YouTube comparing the two. They’re the exact same case with the exact same dimensions.
Edit: You’re right, the active does have a bigger lip than the rugged case. I just watched a detailed video on the two and the active case definitely has much more of a lip over the regular rugged case.

I absolutely dislike patina, so I got the Active case and loving it. Looks classy, always.
Do you have a GSP, my Xr case had 0 lip with one? and my wife has a Xr rugged folio with a GSP and has no lip.
Yes, I will make pictures when I have time later today. It held up surprisingly well, but I am very careful with all my stuff.
I did have a screen protector and I honestly can’t remember if the case lip sat flush with the screen protector or if it offered a little more protection. I got rid of my xr on launch day of the 11 pro.
Maybe i got a dud with the buttons, settled on the OB symmetry for now or i would try again, the black rugged xr i had didn't really patina, just marks/scratches easily.

How’s the symmetry feel in the hand after some use? I tried tech 21’s evo check and it became a weird feeling grease/grimy feeling case after about an hour so I returned it.
For the people who asked for it... Here are some pictures of our Nomad Rugged cases for the iPhone X. The darker one is mine and the slightly lighter one is my dad’s case. I recently switched from android after 11 years to iOS after their crappy stability issues. Brought an iPhone 11 pro and oh boy! This is too good looking and sleek to slap it on a phone.
Now my question is, I wanted to go with something transparent but not clear, more like a matte finish. I was looking at the Caudabe Synthesis Gray and the UAG Plyo, any experiencies with these? Specially with the Caudabe Synthesis Gray since I have only seen black here.

Yeah i would never buy another tech 21 because of that, Symmetry is great to hold not slippery or slimy. Perfect fit, just enough lip and buttons are excellent.
