After having tried numerous cases for my previous iPhone 11 I've reduced cases for my '12 to:

1. Tech21 Evo Check (black)
2. Mous Limitless 3.0 (aramid fibre black)
3. Spigen Liquid Air (black)

Tech21 is, again and again, by far my favorite. Slim, feels protective, interchangeable great feeling buttons, non-slippery sides and back, kind of transparent. I don't get why Aaron of MobileReviewEh commented on the Tech21 as "feeling like an old sock". He's becoming too much of a Mous fanboy.

From my perspective putting the iPhone 12 in the Tech21 it feels like handling a speedboat. Putting the phone in the Mous makes it feel like an oil tanker. Huge, thick, heavy (+15g) hard plastic, bad buttons, slippery back (sides a little less slippery compared to the iPhone 11 case)... there's little to like.

Spigen is my cheap backup-case. It handles well, just a bit worried about protection compared to the others.

Well I have just received the Apple leather case for my 12 Pro Max and am very disappointed - it is going straight back. The reason is the front lip stands about 1mm higher than the screen face making a high edge. I find that makes the phone less comfortable to hold and annoys in use too as my finger touches edge every time I try to swipe up. Why Apple could not have made the case flush with the screen I do not know? No need for lip to hold on with the Magsafe attachment

Yeah, the Evo Check is a pretty awesome case. Apple silicone is my #1 currently, but the Evo is a close 2nd.

My dbrand grip was very saggy around the volume buttons. Trying to return it for a new one but their customer service is awful.

Now you tell me after I just ordered one
Dbrand customer service is excellent at taking the money though.

In reading through some threads about them redesigning their cases, I came across their support’s Twitter account. If you haven’t, try hitting them up at their @Robot Twitter account.

You want no lip / screen protection? In my opinion, the Apple leather lip needs to wrap around more. I think they did try to rely on the magnets holding it on, but clearly the magnets aren’t strong enough... see the huge thread about corners popping off in people’s pockets. I’m returning the Apple leather in favor of a Mujjo, even though I know the buttons will be worse, just so I can get a leather case that actually stays on my phone.

No lip = no screen protection.

Just received my Otterbox Symmetry Moonwalker case today. Sorry for the potato quality iPad images. Very nice case. Fit is excellent. Buttons are responsive. Way more grippy than I thought (especially for a semi-clear case), but not lint magnet. Feels amazing in the hand. It's thicker than my Sheath, but feels just as thin somehow.

So you did not need to use a crowbar to get it installed? I am super confused with Otterbox cases this year.

Haha no. It’s snug, just like installing a speck Presidio2 case or Rhinoshield Solidsuit. For reference, I’m using it on a iPhone 12 Pro. I kinda wonder if there are fit problems with the Max models and they haven’t tweaked it yet.

That is one beautiful case! If I did not get a silver iPhone 12 PM, I would def get a silver/white case! So clean and premium!

I don’t know what pressure you all are talking about. I have Otterbox clear symmetry and it’s not any different from previous years. Feels just right.

Must be the max version, the 12 i had was tight but no where near needing a crow bar lol. I wouldn't of returned it for that alone.

I have 3 Symmetry cases for the 12 pro including the Blue MagSafe. They are not easy to get on and off but not crazy by any means
