Or you can get something like this for less than $20. Got mine today and the fit and finish is perfect.

£17.77 35% Off | 0.7mm Ultra Thin Kevlar Aramid Fiber Case for iPhone 12 Pro Max 12Pro Carbon Fiber Cover for iPhone 12 Mini 11 XS Max XR Shell

I have one of those (if someone wants it, lmk, $20 shipped never used).

my point was that I wanted blue aramid fiber, that doesn’t exist on eBay or AliExpress, and I don’t like the teal/black color of Pitaka.

Otterbox Aneu in today and I can't decide if I like this thing or not. Right out of the box it has the Mous Banana Boat Bend and a little saggy bottom. The back is like a finer grit Symmetry texture. The rubber sides are pretty soft and extra gummy. Getting the phone into the case is kind of hard because of this gummy rubber. You have to fondle and finesse the rubber around the edges of the screen. The buttons are completely flush with the sides of the case and pretty much suck. The case has a good feel and grip because of these "Bumper Car" rubber edges. I do not find the rubber loose around the edges except for a slight sag over the charge port.
IMO, I would not rush out and purchase one of these. (Should have listened to AE14)

You got a dud, no banana here and no sag on bottom. My buttons are excellent too better than the Sheath. Mine is also nearly as easy to get on and off as the Sheath.

I meant to ask you the last time and I think you’ve mentioned it in the past, but what’s that plug in the charging port? And where can I get one? Lol!!

Also, returning to otterbox shouldn’t be an issue. They’ve replaced entire cases for me for just asking a simple question. Their customer support is pretty good.

These are the older ones with the round corners:

https://www.amazon.com/PortPlugs-Ro...=port+plugs+12+pro+max&qid=1608414913&sr=8-12

I also got the new flat squared off ones from the same company but cannot find them now on Amazon.

On Otterbox I only see a warranty option and they want me to pay $6.99 shipping. Do they have an exchange option?

It's a decent case except for the banana bow, saggy bottom and the buttons are pretty hard to operate.
Trying to see how to do an exchange now with Otterbox.

Thanks man. These look like they’d make the pinky shelf a bit more comfortable.

I’d send otter box an email and ask them what they would recommend for a return or exchange. Or, you can use their warranty page and explain the problem with the case. They’ll send you a new one free of charge. I’m not to sure about flat out returns though. ?

Here’s square ones he’s talking about.

I like the softer round rubber ones he linked to better...

And the camera surround sits above the back of the case. That's too bad.

Yea, the squared off ones are not as soft and last years model. The newer ones I purchased were a 10 pack with no headphone jack plugs. They must have ran out of the 10 packs and are trying to push these with headphone jack plugs.

Yea, I took the phone out and reinstalled it and the buttons are a little better, I still have a slight sag along the bottom though.
The more I use the Aneu the more I like it.
That has happened to me too havn't taken it off for 4 days. I really like it but i got a good one luckily. Only fault is it's same as the symmetry leaves a white ring after using magsafe, wipes off easily though.

Nice look! Do you rate the Aneu among your top cases? And, if you have the MagSafe wallet, how well does it stick?
I just got it today.
the bottom near the charge port is a little saggy and the buttons could be better. It's a pretty decent case that I'm starting to like. Otterbox included that sticker with the case ( I did not stick it to the case  )

Just received my PEEL soft clear case

Pro
1. Good fit. 4/5. Bit loose on top and bottom. Can push and feel the small gap
2. Nice thickness of the case. Thin yet feels enough for minor drops
3. Front screen and camera lips are just high enough, yet not too bulky

Con
1. Button responsiveness. 1/5. Cannot feel bottom being pushed AT ALL. Only way I know its been pushed is looking at the screen.
2. ?Water streak smidge on sides. the kind you see when rubber is not in full contact with the surface

Overall
Good feel in hand
Good balance between minimal clear case & protection
Will not buy again on the worst button responsiveness/feel alone

Glad to hear you like it. I was considering this, but I read some comments on another thread from October where some folks were questioning the quality. My guess is it was the rushed first batch but perhaps they’ve refined the manufacturing process now. I might look at it again. Unlike the Apple leather and silicone, the otterbox won’t wear down as easily and will stand up to some sanitizing measures.

I’ve had two Aneu’s, and I think the quality would’ve been fine if the case were cheaper. It has very noticeable seams along all edges that a $50 case just should not have. It was a pretty good all around case though I thought.

Yep that’s what I remember reading, about the seams in particular. I agree, at that price point there shouldn’t be qc compromises. Any thoughts on the new magsafe compatible symmetry+?
