Nomad Rugged leather case
For anyone interested... Nomad Rugged brown leather case on the iPhone 12 mini. No gaps between frame and screen, secure fitment all around, smells strongly of genuine leather, nice in hand feel, not a lint magnet at all, lightweight and claims 10ft drop protection over the previous 6ft cases...

Looks good new, their magsafe case comes out next week if you want to use it.
Just don't really like clear cases. Been looking at his site and nothing. The newest phone he has listed is the 11 pro max. When the Gen2 Rebel is available I'll order one but I could be dead from old age by the time he gets it in gear.
Dropping the microfiber lining is a little disappointing but not a dealbreaker. I never understood why the storage slots were there in the first place, I tried slipping a SIM tool in there the first time I used the case and it was so hard to get the damn phone in there, I was terrified the tool would slip out and scratch my brand new phone all to hell. Just unnecessary, IMO.
I’m going to try it out. The site updated last night. Just ordered a clear. Supposedly the Rebel will be out next week.
According to him, “Possibly this weekend, 100% early next week.”
Not sure. But mine already shipped, or at least I have a tracking number already. Once there’s movement I’ll be able to see.
I suspect there will be no folio case since there is the leather sleeve or the magsafe wallet as options. Just my opinion, though.
Have not heard a peep about a battery case.
Postal. And they've been less than stellar lately in my experience so who knows when I'll get it. I got my dbrand Grip in like 2 days with regular mail (from Canada!), but stuff that I sent and received Priority Mail on the same coast and some within the same state has taken two weeks.
Couldn't stand the degradation of the Apple Leather case and the bulkiness of other MagSafe cases. Decided to be a bit different and try this denim case from a Hong Kong based company called Simple Union (saw on Instagram). Though a little pricey, I figured that money would've eventually went to a couple more cases. Buy once, cry once I suppose.
Pretty nice case with metal buttons and MagSafe. Each case is supposedly unique since there is a finite amount of fabric available for each design (so the company claims). Ordered last Friday and it came this morning with Fedex Priority. The magnets aren't as strong as the original Apple Leather case but still strong enough for my car mount. Feels as thin as the Apple case as well and way thinner than the Otterbox.
Overall, I'm pretty excited for this case and may be the permanent one moving forward.

Edit: And I’ve already sent Nomad an email for a replacement. The right side of the case where the power is has a defect. I just noticed it, the case is wavy like a strip of bacon leaving a gap between the case border and the phone. Right above the power button the case is pulled away from the phone then drops back down allowing the power button to make contact with the case then it pulls away again from the phone and repeats the exact same patter all the way down to the bottom. Hopefully Nomad sends a replacement.

You didn’t take any pictures of the defect? I have one coming Monday although I’ll likely send it back and reorder when the MagSafe version goes on sale.
So what is the verdict on the Otterbox cases? Still the suck? Any redesigns?
