I have. I use MagSafe to charge every night and the strength of the magnets is good. I said this in another comment the other day, but I can’t comment on whether it would be good for a car mount because I’d never trust a magnetic car mount anyway.

Also, my MagSafe puck is inside a Spigen charging mount (the one that holds the puck for the Apple Watch as well), but when I put the phone down at night, it snaps right into place.
Does it pass the pinky test? buttons good?

Any of you guys had the nomad leather is it slimmer or same?

Definitely passes the pinky test for me, and I'm really sensitive to that. Caudabe is one of the few case makers that seem to understand the pinky test and round off the corners on their cutouts on the bottom.

I've actually got 2 Nomad cases (brown non-MagSafe and black MagSafe), and the Synthesis is definitely slimmer on the back than the Nomads. The Synthesis is flat on the back where the Nomad kinda curves out at the edges then flattens out.

I like the in-the-hand feel of the Synthesis better, because it has asymmetrical cutouts on the bottom where Nomad has the symmetrical cutouts and doesn't really pass the pinky test. The buttons on the Synthesis are miles better than the Nomad's buttons as well.

Thanks, Will get one for sure, might wait till available here, Caudabe shipping can take weeks to Australia.

Guessing the MagSafe is on par with the nomad magsafe? I have the black nomad too, i like it but bottom is tough and buttons average even after doing the razor blade trick. MagSafe is good i have the Belkin 3 x 1 and a car holder off eBay and it never comes off even on our dodgy roads here.

Ordered one found a 15% code so was $38.44 US with shipping = $49.50 or so.
Now the 2 week wait lol, will try and forget I ordered it haha.

I would say that’s a good comparison for the MagSafe. It’s definitely on par with the Nomad.

If the MagSafe holds well on the magnetic car mount with the Nomad, then the Synthesis should work well too.

And good idea to try and forget you ordered it. I do that sometimes when I order something that’s going to take more than a few days to arrive. That way, you have a nice surprise when it does show up!

As a father of a newborn I use my phone one handed a lot. What’s a good, grippy case for a 12 pro max similar in size to Apple silicone? My silicone ones keep chipping and peeling and it’s driving me nuts so looking for something different. I tried a Spigen Liquid armor but it turned my phone into a bar of soap.
I would recommend a leather case (no surprise there). They’ve always been grippy enough for me once they’ve had a few days to break in.

Just got this one in and it’s already starting to lose that new leather “slipperiness”.

the silicone for the 12 keeps peeling? If yes, that is covered under warranty and apple will replace them. I have a silicone for my iP7 and it still hasn’t chipped or peeled. get it replaced, since I rarely have had that issue aside from my X silicone case chipping in the corners but got that replaced by Apple.

Hate pop sockets. My wife has one and I can’t stand that thing on the back. I’ll see what other silicone cases there are.

Is the Caudabe sheath as grippy as the reviews say? I don’t need a case that sticks like glue, but the Spigen case actually made my phone more difficult to handle one handed than the bare iPhone which is what I’m trying to avoid.

Ringke onyx is the most underrated. Good grip on the sides, slim and well worth the £8/8$.

Raised at corners to protect screen and close slim profile at sides to help holding the device.

The Onyx was the first case I had for my 12 Pro Max and I thought my case search was over quickly. But the way the case shows the frame at the top but not at the bottom drove me nuts.

I still have it and try and use it sometimes, but then I notice that gap at the top and it’s ruined for me.

Some people, Essex at least, will be getting their Electric Orange today! I was surprised, I timed it for Friday delivery with the free shipping and typically I got a notification that Royal Mail will deliver it to my home today - on the one day of the week I work from the office rather than home... I hope they just shove it through the letterbox or it will be re-delivery tomorrow.

Could you please post a pic? I’m hoping it’s a neon orange color
Here it is...I haven't seen pink citrus in person, but this is definitely a reddish-orange. I wish they'd make a plain ol' boring "ORANGE" silicone case. Like the orange they used for the iPhone 8 leather case. So far I like this better than slightly faded look of the kumquat case, though.

Would you say it’s neon-ish orange at all? I don’t want to spend that much money and it not be what I want.
