I went ahead and ordered the clear bumper with the back protectors. They’ll be here tomorrow. It probably look weird to people, but I also have these camera lens protectors on the camera, since a couple of my cases are not raised above the camera lens. I don’t pay attention to them sticking out anymore.

The reviews on the bumpers I see on Amazon all have some problems, either too loose, too bulky, too slippery or buttons not tactile enough. I’m pretty picky with my cases and for me the only ones I’ve been happy with are the Apple Silicone and the Caudabe Sheath MagSafe (love what they did with the buttons to make them super clicky).

Although, I would love a good bumper instead of a case. Hey Caudabe - hint, hint.

I’ll update on it after I get it. That’s the risk I take with any case.

Not at all. Definitely feels just as good minus the Apple logo (and MagSafe which I don’t care about). Miracase isn’t another no name case maker. The fit is right, especially around volume and power buttons.
Good for you for finding an affordable substitute that you also like for the Apple Silicone case! I about a non-Apple one for my iPhone 8 Plus and I love it.

I bought my first Apple Silicone case for my 12 Pro Max and my reasons for buying/liking it are:

1 The speaker holes exactly match the phone--no generic cutouts.
2 I didn't think I'd care about MagSafe but it's great!
3 Apple has terrific colors--both the expected and the unexpected.

I splurge on so few things that spending extra for a case I love is worth it for me.

I was thinking about a Nomad case this week, now I see there is 30% off through July 25th. Anyone using the natural color? How does it Patina? I've got a red iPhone 12 and my OCD requires I try and at least match a color.

Use code "summer30" and it looks like it is sitewide.

Anyone have a good suggestion for a case that is like the Apple case (thin, soft silicone) but without the big Apple logo on the back?

I posted a day or two ago that Miracase is the best silicone alternative. Strong brand name and feels great in the hand. Highly recommend.

I kept the back tempered protectors and send the clear bumper back. The corners kept popping off. Other than that, it showed the back of my phone off better than any clear case I have. I plan to buy a clear skin for the sides, keep the back protectors along with the camera lens protector, and use it with this case.

This is what we provide with our iPhones 8/SE at the office. They’re nice but definitely more bulky than Apple’s silicone.

Yeah, I like it so far. Minus MagSafe, it feels very secure in my hands. I’m not as confident with drops as I am with my Symmetry but it’s a great case for under $20.

pretty satisfied with my aramid fiber case, great blend between shock resistance and weight-thickness.
