I dipped my toe into Amazon again.

I messed up my Supcase unicorn beetle pro case by doing the trick to take off the in built screen protector. Problem was that the frame alone when installed started lifting my actual screen protector so I was better off just leaving the in built one on and doubling up when using the case. Sooo I did glue it back on but there are some remnants of glue that even nail varnish remover won’t clear and it just bothered me!

I use this case for walking and holidays so like to have that extra protection.

I have now replaced the black case and bought blue instead, my thought was that the black attracts heat and therefore could cause overheating.

The blue is a more electric blue than I was expecting. It’s nice though and now my OCD isn’t going into overdrive over my daft experiment…

Looks great, so you have a tempered glass screen protector underneath and it fit's ok with the built-in screen protector?

Yeah I have a spigen EZ glass protector and it’s fine. It’s actually a tighter fit which works out better actually. Double the protection!

I modified the belt holster so I can use it as a mount in the car so it attaches to a vent magnet

Nice! Do you find the touchscreen sensitivity is affected?

I was thinking about a Nomad case this week, now I see there is 30% off through July 25th. Anyone using the natural color? How does it Patina? I've got a red iPhone 12 and my OCD requires I try and at least match a color.

Use code "summer30" and it looks like it is sitewide.
The patina is very different than that of their brown case. I’ve had one and used it for a few months before swapping phones.

A little yes. But the times I use this combo is for maybe one or two week long holidays and a few weekends over the year so it’s not the end of the world.

For the convenience of just taking the case off and still having a protector it’s worth it.

I tried to take the in built one out and leaving just the frame on a different one and it would lift my main screen protector so this is definitely the way to go!

Oh, that doesn't look so bad. I let the sale go though as I just got my warranty replaced Otterbox Symmetry so thinking I can go back to that + silicone for a while. The leather is definitely enticing, if only it came in red!

I put the frame in boiling water and let it sit then ripped off the plastic frame. I put an edge to edge screen protector on my phone and putting the case together there doesn't seem to be any lifting of the glass screen protector..maybe cause the frame sits more on top of the protector. I have this one - https://www.amazon.ca/ESR-Tempered-...sprefix=esr+iphone+12+,electronics,168&sr=1-4

I did the same. My protector was the spigen ez fit one. Still not the end if the world. Liking my new blue supcase UB pro!

Welp, it happened. The lure of the Caudabe Sheath finally overcame my will to stick with my Decoded leather case. It eventually came down to the fact that the blue leather on my Apple Wallet clashes with the slightly darker blue of the Decoded and looked so much better when paired with my black Apple leather case.

I absolutely hate waiting for stuff to ship. Literally the worst first world problem.

Which color did you get? I just got my first Sheath back in March for my birthday and I went with Ocean Blue. It’s beautiful against my gold 12PM! I haven’t used it in a bit but your post is inspiring me to get it back out. Haha

I went with the black mostly because I figured the blue on my Apple wallet would look better with a black case versus another shade of blue. The blue looks great with the lighter camera module of your gold though!

Ooh yeah I think that’s gonna look good! You’ll have to post pics once you receive it. It drove me crazy waiting for mine to arrive. 🤣

Same! I’m in the uk so if I ever order from USA it takes an age to arrive lol

Just received my Decoded Leather case for iPhone 12 Pro. Buttons are terrible. Really hard to press and get any button feedback. Pretty disappointed in that department. Leather quality is very nice though. Won't be using this at all, due to the button problem.

My experience is completely opposite. The buttons feel just as good as those on Apple's leather case. Might be worth asking for an exchange.

I actually have 2 of the same case for the 12pm. Both have very good buttons. It's worth asking them about it, I have 2 because the first one seemed to be lost. After waiting a month I contacted their customer service and they sent me a new one free of charge. Another month later and the original order was finally delivered.

Any good rugged cases with decent magsafe available?

I've been alternating between an official silicone and leather case for my 12 Pro Max but have recently been having problems with my grip releasing slightly when holding things.

Dropped a few drinks over the last few months but the other day I dropped my iPhone. Luckily the screen protector took the damage at the edge which I've replaced but I feel that if I'd had a case with a front lip there would have been zero damage.

Took delivery of a Cyrill Color Brick Magsnap yesterday which I like but not quite enough protection.

The magnet is pretty strong apart from the aligning magnet which is not brilliant.

This'll do until I find a better option.

Maybe the Speck Presidio Grip would be good.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll reach out to them today and see if they'll do an exchange. The case does look and feel amazing.

I’ve been using the Rhinoshield Bumper and back glass protector combo for a week and I love it! It’s the only case I’ve used on my 12PM longer than 3 days, since launch day. It’s not slippery anymore and I can show off the color of my iPhone. Also if I ever decide to go caseless in the house, I have protection in the front and back.

Got tracking info for my Sheath and it's not supposed to come until Monday.

Something happened yesterday and I started noticing little things about my Decoded leather I didn't like, mainly the gap between the frame and the case at the bottom lightning port area. I ended up taking it off before I even left the office and have been back in the black Apple leather since getting home.

Maybe my brain is preparing me for the switch to the Sheath? Strange how that works...
