Any good rugged cases with decent magsafe available?

I've been alternating between an official silicone and leather case for my 12 Pro Max but have recently been having problems with my grip releasing slightly when holding things.

Dropped a few drinks over the last few months but the other day I dropped my iPhone. Luckily the screen protector took the damage at the edge which I've replaced but I feel that if I'd had a case with a front lip there would have been zero damage.

Took delivery of a Cyrill Color Brick Magsnap yesterday which I like but not quite enough protection.

The magnet is pretty strong apart from the aligning magnet which is not brilliant.

This'll do until I find a better option.

Dbrand Grip or Otterbox

Just received my Decoded Leather case for iPhone 12 Pro. Buttons are terrible. Really hard to press and get any button feedback. Pretty disappointed in that department. Leather quality is very nice though. Won't be using this at all, due to the button problem.

That’s odd. I have the Decoded MagSafe leather case for my 12 Pro Max and the buttons are great, on par with the Apple Leather case. Is this the older Decoded case with the open bottom or the newer one with MagSafe and the closed bottom?

New one with MagSafe and closed bottom.

Sheath came in early! Not 100% sure I like it more than the leather but it feels pretty good. The texture is very unique; different than I was expecting. The buttons are fantastic.

I was concerned the lip at the bottom was going to bother me but that little step above the lightning port actually works really well with the swiping.

I could see this being in a 50/50 rotation with the AL.

Edited to add that the Sheath has passed another important test for me: little finger comfort. That tiny shelf above the lightning port rests right at the top joint and doesn’t dig in at all.

Is that the MagSafe version?

Looks great. Best of both worlds with that and the leather. I do like how the Sheath is so low maintenance and can wipe it down with a Clorox wipe with no concerns.

I’m glad they’ve fixed the buttons. I’m tempted to try out the Sheath again now that it has MagSafe. I just wish they’d done the other colors as well. The gray Sheath is the prettiest case I’ve seen.

This is reassuring for a potential future purchase lol

It is. I’m already back in the leather and definitely prefer it. The Sheath is very nice though. The magnets are surprisingly good.

So I might be done with my naked phone experiment. Aside from the phone being a bit slippery, I dropped it and cracked the glass screen protector (which had only been on for about 36 hours). I had a flolab on there and they’re sending me another one for free. They also offered half off their Taffyca case so I said why not.

Casekoo ultra slim is the best case I found for my 12 pro.

(Sadly at the expense of magsafe, but worth it. I don't see the advantage of wireless charging anyway except using the magnets as a holder in my car, but those few time I need my phone for navigation I am perfectly fine at mounting it in the traditional holder.)

Casekoo was my 2nd case, and I absolutely love how thin the case is.

I’m going to try using mine naked once I get a clear skin to protect the sides. I already have a glass screen protector and glass back protector use alongside my Rhinoshield bumper.

Omg I literally saw that one too!!
race is on.. who will get theirs first. That one is soooo cool. Looks like the wood is dyed?
I’m also going to find a wireless charger of theirs to match. I have coupon codes to use! I did get this case with MagSafe unlike my others that I didn’t upgrade
Yes it's dyed, I've never seen a live edge dyed before and it just called me to order it. They're good at texting coupons if you're logged in and have your phone number on the account. I've got several by adding a case to my cart and not buying, then later they will send a text with a coupon. They just changed the live edge order page, they used to come with the MagSafe magnets without having to add them.
What’s this company? That blue is niiiice.
Thanks, it's a Live Edge case from Carved.

I know. They also had a choice of buttons. Used to be a block to choose from and you had to select your device. They used to do it how they’re doing now…

yeah I haven’t tried MagSafe yet but I’m always fumbling in the dark. Have had to turn the light on to search for the cord and hubby didn’t like that too much! Lol

I’m so very excited for this particular case. I’ve been looking. Seen a few of the dyed woods on other ones but I wanted something with white and black. This one caught me today! I’ll be looking for one for my husband next!

Lemme know when you get yours. I see it could take 2-3 weeks before they ship it out… have you found that to be pretty accurate??

They have really got production time down to a few days now. The new ones on sale now say 5-8 days. I'll take some pics when it comes but it'll be hard to get a pic as good as the one from the web site.

Perfect! I’ll do the same when mine arrives too.
Idk where you are but PST around 9pm they always release more. There’s a ton in there now. I’m hard to impress so I’m happy with my choice earlier!

I’m using an Otterbox Symmetry in clear glitter right now. I agree with the sentiment that the fit has been a little off with these this year but I still love it and love the glitter with the gold iPhone! I always end up going back to rocking it naked though. 😆

Well you’re case is going to beat mine. I just got an email… my live edge was damaged in production and I have to pick a new one. I don’t see anything I like so it’ll be awhile. I did find a cool one for my husband though yesterday!

Oh no that's not good, hope it doesn't take long to find another you like. Your husband is getting a nice one, they sure are making a lot more dyed ones lately.
