Got my Wisteria Leather case today. It’s beautiful! This is in natural light.

For the folks who ordered gold, its looking like team dark cherry. Im tempted by the green but dunno

Man, the good news is that we have such a better variety of colors for the leather than last year and the build quality especially around the plastic camera ring seems to be improved. Glad to see this as I had to return a couple of cases due to those issues.

Since I am going with the 13 Mini, I want to test the battery for a few weeks before buying a quality case. I'll go with the 50 cent case I went with last year.

Here's pics of it on the 12 Mini I tried last year

I was just about to post that. That dark cherry yo!

I've never tried an Apple Leather case. Are those creases common out the box (noticed it on the blue and green)?
It’s leather so some look better or worse than others.
You can pop open 10 cases and anywhere from 0-10 will have creases. So do and some dont

No offense I don't know why people buy the expensive cases from Apple especially when you can buy other brands from places like Amazon which are much cheaper and just as good and in most cases better.
No offense taken. I've always used clear cases from Spigen and ESR before over the years and while they were fine, they've always turned yellow on me quickly and left darker areas on the back where you could see how held it over the course of months. Last year when Apple came out with the MagSafe clear case I got it for my 12 Pro Max and really loved the fit and finish and feel of it. It survived a handful of drops, it never turned any remote shade of yellow, I actually like white MagSafe markings on it. So this year I'm doing it again for my 13 Pro Max. So if it costs me 3-4 times as much to use and enjoy a case for a device I'll be using/holding several hours a day for about a year, it's worth it to me. "Just as good" and "better" are pretty subjective.

To each their own but I personally want to spend my money on the things that make me happy. I ain't getting any younger, that's for sure.

I have a leather midnight blue case on my iPhone X since launch 3 years ago and it has aged very well. Both the phone and the case survived multiple drops, including the one done by kids. The glass at the back is shattered, so it keeps things in one place. It has few dents on the sides, which are invisible when in case and front glass (without any screen protectors) doesn't have any damages at all, so I would say it protected the phone very well, although I always get Apple Care+ for the peace of mind.

After this experience I do not really mind getting leather care from Apple again. In fact I do not really need any other case. Once you start switching and reading the threads like this, you will spend more money in the end by buying multiple cases, which I never needed. Although I admit something with kickstand would be nice but all cases with kickstands looks either bad or they don't seem to support Magsafe.

Another thing to consider is that people really do have limited options when it comes to cases while pre-ordering the iPhone. Not everyone lives in US or UK. I live in Dubai and the only worth considering 3rd party cases which I could get before getting my iPhone Pro 13 are Spiegen cases and not a full range even.

Maybe you guys remember there was a posh brand from Argentina, maybe still is Vaja or something, I ordered once expensive case for my wife for $135 (Matelasse, Marina color), it didn't age well. The leather was so soft, that it was prone to scratches. Although it looked very nice and quality product, it just disappointed me in the way it was wearing out. $135 down the drain literally after few months of using it.

That's fair enough. That said I have had the ESR clear Halolock case on my 12 Pro Max and it hasn't yellowed or discoloured.

I’ve seen their HaloLock system ever since they first showed it off, I assume you also have the car charger if you have the case? I forgot, does it still work with MagSafe cases or do you need to use their HaloLock case? If you do have the car charger, how would you rate it? I’ve been wanting a MagSafe compatible in car charging solution. I don’t want just a mount like the Belkin one.
