Bounce is super pricey and didn’t hold up well in that 50 foot drop test. For $80 it should laugh at that kind of fall. Looks cool though.
Thanks. The Bounce Case isn’t rated to 50 ft, so it’s not too surprising that the case failed to protect the phone from that high up. Plus luck has a lot to do with how it lands.
I have seen Aaron from MobileReviewsEh do a drop test from about 10ft, and the case and phone survived with no problems.

Is there a big difference?

Yes definitely. The original Defender case has that plastic cage around the phone with a nice rubbery cushion where the phone lies on and it’s cover with a nice feeling rubber on the back and sides where as the defender XT is just a case with no rubbery cushion at all inside and the back it’s just hard plastic, but it does have magsafe. It also has a nice grippy-rubber around the side. I really like them both but the original defender is definitely a better feeling case and not much bigger than the defender XT

If they put the grips on the edges of their limitless 4.0. Also they need to put silicone in the case to protect the phone like the Evolution Case.

I’d take the Evolution case without the 4 openings on the back, honestly. I never see myself using any of their mounts, so those holes would just serve to let in dust and dirt for me. But hopefully they’ll bring some of the grip to the Limitless series.

I use a MagSafe pop socket that covers the 4 openings in the back that prevents any dust or drift from getting into the holes.

I am in a holding pattern for now. Thinking Mous or dBrand but still undecided. I am back in the fat boy as of yesterday and digging it.

Speaking of the fat boy. Anyone here that uses one that could recommend a car mount that will work ok with it? I have the 13 Pro Max. Thanks.

Yay my early release Grecazo slim-line MagSafe case (shell) arrived today.

I can’t really fault it. It’s the same as my existing non-MagSafe version, so I knew I wasn’t going to have any issues from a design standpoint.

The MagSafe magnets are REALLY strong, which is amazing since I think all they did was stick a few of the thinner available (less than a mm?) magnets to the inside of the case. They may have even made indents into the case for the magnets to sit in. Whatever they did, they HOLD.

The magnets also don’t add much weight, compared to the non-MagSafe version.

Everything else is the same - as minimalist as you can get, with open sides & lay on table front & back…think of it as the PhoneRebel Flex Gen 3 ‘Lite’.

I’ve been trying & failing to upload two videos comparing the magnetic grip of a naked iPhone 13 & with the case…I’ll add them later…

Here we go…

iPhone 13:

Gregazo MagSafe Case:

You can see that the grip of the latter is so much stronger that I can only remove it to the side, as attempting to remove it up or down just swivels the stand heh.

I have a ProClip that has the ball mount in my car, and I attach the iOttie Easy One Touch 5 to it.
The Fat Boy fits in the iOttie 5 head but it's tight. This head has no wireless charging built in but works perfect with every phone/case I use.

Almost every Walmart stock these in the electronics department.

The “fat boy” is one fugly case, don’t think I’d even consider it for heavy duty activities.?

If by cute you mean incredibly ugly then you’re right. I can understand people using it who work on a construction site or take part in extreme activities but definitely not for everyday protection. The bulk alone that’s added is ridiculous.
Everyone has different tastes my friend. For example I really like the way the Defender Pro looks because it looks like a tank. It looks like it could take a real beating and still keep my phone safe.

Exactly. For example, I think the Jeep Gladiator is f***-ugly but I still see them everywhere. Never once have I had the urge to walk up and tell somebody that owns one. What good would that do other than making me look like an a**hole?

So you’re comparing walking up to someone and telling them their car is ugly with someone in a thread, specifically about iPhone cases, calling a particular case ugly?

The right comparison would be calling the car ugly in a thread about cars.

lol I don't mind them but I bet they drive like a tank, they are like $85KAUD plus here, don't see many on the road have had a look in local dealer.
I just came from having 2 x Jeep Cherokees over 7 years, first one was ok, 2nd had some issues after 2.5 years so got out of it. Parts and getting them from here are loooong and expensive. Jeeps have a pretty bad name here And dealers are not great.
Ended up trading for a Nissan Navara ST-X in January. Love it so far.
