First pro phone, first official Apple case and very first wallet too. All from my local Apple store.

Phone Rebel Gen 3 Frosted case questions: Does the back of the frosted show fingerprints/smudges, scratches or MagSafe ring impression marks?

Tempted to try a frosted with the new buttons
It definitely doesn’t show fingerprints or smudges, but I much prefer the Crystal clear case to the Frosted. The frosted is a little slippery, at least to me.

The new Phone Rebel power buttons all move or rock side to side to the touch. Almost like they don’t fit in quite right…..volume buttons are fine but the power button feels loose. Weird.

Is that a Grecazo? (I think its rebranded by others so may be an alt brand). Is that the MagSafe version of the case?? Grecazo mentioned they’re releasing their MagSafe model around Feb, so I’ll be replacing my non-MagSafe one for that. It still sticks to the MagSafe puck, but not very securely of course.

Shame you had to cut the bottom. I really like it myself. I like how they left it open in the middle so the most common swipe isn’t hindered & also prefer the speaker/mic cutouts to be one large oval hole instead of many tiny round ones to prevent potential blockage of sounds especially if they don’t line up perfectly. But they’re spot on for this one.

Are you still using this case? Hows it holding up? Was thinking of trying it out since the back texture looks like it would be similar to the Spigen Thin Fit (matte, silky, grippy)

Hey. As mentioned in that post, I upgraded to the MagSafe version & am still using it. The back's slippery when you first get it, but as you wear it in, it becomes slightly more grippy.

There's also a slight MagSafe ring imprint on the back, so if that puts you off....fyi.

I love it myself. the magnets are STRONG, & it's still the minimalistic case that i'm after.

AliExpress have it for a very cheap asking price, so it's worth trying if you're curious.

Caudabe Sheath VS Ringke Onyx. IMO the Ringke Onyx blows the Sheath away in every category. The Onyx is smaller, lighter, better grip, better fit, better feel in the hand, better buttons ETC. Also, the finish does not wear down and show lint and crap on the back like the Sheath does. It also only cost $11.00 compared to $36.00 for the Sheath. The only plus for the Sheath is the built in MagSafe. Now, the Onyx will charge just fine on a MagSafe charger laying horizonal on its back. It just won't hang off any vertical MagSafe chargers. After 2 days in the Sheath, I'm right back in the Onyx

Yea I’m not a fan of the Sheath at all. I had it a week and I don’t like the feel of it feels chalky and weird to me like there’s a film over it. I also can’t stand the stupid raised block bottom near the lightning port, it jams into my pinky finger like crazy.

I may try that Onyx or maybe the Spigen Thin Fit. Anything else I should be looking at as far as minimalist cases go?

Do you like leather? Bullstrap has really nice leather cases that harken back to the pre-squared off Apple leather cases. I’d also venture to say it’s pretty minimalist, with an open bottom and sloped camera module protection.

I do like leather cases but I’d prefer a fully enclosed one. I guess that would bring me to apples leather cases but want something slimmer

I don't consider myself anywhere near OCD but I am particular. Those button cutouts on the side wouldn't fly for me at all. I'd bet if you briefly blasted it with a blow dryer you could shape those edges into place. And why on earth would they put the disposal stamp that most people use skins or cases to cover up? Strange design decision.

I agree, the side buttons cutouts are really bad. Maybe the disposable stamp is on the real nothing phone and they’re trying to make it look as authentic as possible. But it does look a little strange.

Picked up the iPhone 13 Pro in grapĥite a couple of months ago; I have 4 cases.

- Spigen Mag Armor

- Apple leather case, Midnight

- Apple silicone case, Pink Pomelo (gives me sunset pink Miami vibes)

- Apple silicone case, Blue Jay

I like them all, but I've been rocking the silicone ones the most lately (much to my surprise)

Are you feeling any looseness on your buttons? They sent me all the colors and the power buttons in particular all rock side to side.
A little looseness on the black power that came with case but so far nothing for the blue power. They are very nice! I probably wouldn’t have even noticed if not for this thread. 😆
