Yea, Cancer sucks big time. You have to just keep fighting. My Mother died from skin cancer and went through pure hell with the radiation, chemo and surgery.

You get the black or green civilian? I did like the case, but the back scratched just putting it on and off of the MagSafe charger.

I got the black civilian and I just ordered that camera protector. I do use Max safe, but I haven’t had any scratches yet. I’m really careful, but I’m sure they’ll happen soon. That’s a real shame.

Also so sorry about your mother. I also been going through hell, I’ve been doing chemo for almost 9 years and now radiation and now surgery. I don’t know how much more I can take it. It’s just very hard to deal with.
For some reason since the last radiation was Friday Saturday till today, I’ve been nauseous throwing up and dizzy. Not too much today throwing up, but still very dizzy and nauseous.

I liked that case for my iPhone X, but I’ve always felt it’s a bit too pricey for a super minimal case. Mine eventually lost the matte coating. Definitely well made and it fit great.
How long did you have the case for? And I agree. It’s way overpriced. My nomad should be delivered tomorrow so I’ll make a decision if I still want to keep the pitaka or send it back.

What I also like is MagSafe still works with the pitaka.

I probably had it for around 2 years. I’m not sure what I’d think about it on a phone with flat edges. It worked well for the rounded edges.

Now that you mention it. It does feel a tad bit sharp especially where the edge of the case meets the screen. It’s not to bad. I like how thin the phone feels and I don’t have to worry about gently placing it down on any surface like I did when I tried going case-less. What the heck… I’ll keep it and the nomad.

Thanks for the input.

It does feel overpriced due to the thin nature of the Pitaka (it feels like you're getting nothing!) but it's an aramid fiber and that's a much different game than say, a plastic thin case like a Peel case or Spigen. Much stronger and more rigid if you drop it on the case itself and not any part of the iPhone.

I love my Pitaka and I go back and forth between that, naked and Apple leather. Makes it feel fresh when I get used to a 'thin' case and then I slap on the Pitaka, huge difference

I originally got the Smartish Gripmunk just to have something before I get a nicer case, but I‘ve come to really like it. I like the feel in hand more than the Sheath. I just wish it had clicker buttons, it’d be near perfect if it did. For now, I’ll wait and see what people say about the new Phone Rebel case.
Since you have the Gripmunk and also had the Sheath. Can you or anybody tell me how the sides/edges of the cases compare? Does the Gripmunk have the same rough sandpaper grippy like texture as the Sheath? Does the Gripmunk feel less rough?

I actually don’t like the grippy feel of the Shealth. The case just feels rough and dirty to me like it’s got a chalky film over it that I can’t explain. I’m wondering if the Gripmunk is the same.

I kept my black grip munk as my back up to my sheath. I was pleasantly surprised
Can you tell me how the sides of the cases compare in regards to texture? Does the Gripmunk have the same rough grip sandpaper like feel? If it does is it at least smoother?

In comparison to the Sheath, yes it’s a little smoother and a little bit more durable. And some others in another thread have said I had the same issue with the sheath wearing down

Definitely a big difference from using the pitaka all day today then coming home to find my nomad had been delivered. The added bulk of the nomad makes the mini feel way different. I’m going to rock the pitaka for a while and give leather a rest for a bit.

Hmm maybe I’ll try it out then. I dunno how to explain it but the Sheath feels like chalky to me and dirty for some reason.

I know this has been asked to death, but can someone please recommend a high quality, durable case for the 13 Pro Max that also feels nice in the hand/has good grip?
I have the Caudabe Sheath, but the case is started to get loose on the sides. I had the Apple official leather case, but I found it poor quality for the price, and my phone would pop out from the corners of the case.

Yes it is slippery but I don’t have any scratches yet. But I’ve been in bed a lot because I just had 10 treatments of radiation for my Bone/Blood cancer. That’s back on my spine. Then in a few weeks spinal surgery. I can’t get rid of the cancer it’s been almost 9 years. Of course it’s not curable.
Wow that's heavy, such a long time, shows your a fighter so hang in there.
Yea, Cancer sucks big time. You have to just keep fighting. My Mother died from skin cancer and went through pure hell with the radiation, chemo and surgery.

Saw some new breakthrough pills on the news that are supposed to work wonders for cancer patients.

Yeah FU to cancer, sorry about your mum, lost mine in February, 77, bladder cancer went through her in 6 weeks she didn't even get a chance for any treatment.

I bought a Product Red silicone case for my 13PM in February. It was assembled in China in 11/21 according to the box. I just bought an Abyss Blue silicone case today that was assembled in Thailand in 4/22. This new blue case seems to snap around the corners much more securely than the red one. Is it possible Apple revised the case to fit more securely since last year or a higher quality case coming out of Thailand vs China?

Is it not just an age thing? New case normally fit much tighter but loosen in time.

Possibly, but it isn’t that old and most of the time it is sitting on a desk since I work from home. I also remember having one of the corners pop out a month or so after using the red one. That is when I did some searching and saw it was happening to others.
