The question was just to confirm if the Apple clear cases still had the open bottom while the silicone and leather cases now have covered bottoms? (I've tried looking online and can't really see any clear photos of the Apple clear case bottom so am not 100% sure on this)

If this is the case I'd be tempted to try the silicone again (despite the fact that the alcohol wipes will inevitably destroy the silicone over time)...
The silicone case I have on my iPhone X is still in great condition and I got it on launch day. I’ve been through 3 silicone cases on my iPhone 12 Pro since launch day and they always end up peeling and eventually look like crap.

My point is, they don’t make them like they used to. Also, the black silicone case on my iPhone X is actually black, and unfortunately they’ve gotten more and more gray since then.

Went for the midnight leather case for my Space Black 14PM. Picked the safe option this time, thought about the brown, but think I’d like to see it in person first. The other thing I’m hoping for, but not getting my hopes up over, is that Apple tweaked the fit so the corners don’t pop off in my pants when I sit down.

For my last two phones I’ve used Mous cases. These are undeniably protective but they’re a bit bulky and expensive. I have a three year old so I do need something with some protection but I don’t need it to be bulletproof.

A must have feature for me is some kind of counterbalance to the camera bump. I hate placing my phone on a flat surface and having it rock back and forth because the camera bump side is so much thicker (many cases exacerbate this by putting a lip around the bump with no counter balance element). As far as I can tell this would disqualify several cases, including Pitaka or Magbak.

Looking at the Caudabe Synthesis, it seems like the lip coming off the bump is intended to counter balance the bump itself? At least that’s what it looks like. I prefer the counter balance to be in the opposite corner but if it stops the phone from rocking that’s the important thing.

Any other recommendations I should consider? The Mous Limitless is $60 and I can usually get a coupon from the Mobile Reviews Eh YouTube channel (great accessory reviewer by the way), so I’d prefer something around the $40 range if possible.

Edit: Looks like the Phone Rebel case should meet almost or maybe all of my criteria. Shame they won’t be available for launch.
I will never have another mous case after I dropped my 12 pro less than a foot and the back of my phone landed flat and smashed inside the case. There’s not much shock absorption built into the Mous cases.

Does anyone know if the iPhone 13 Pro Max case will fit the iPhone 14 Pro Max?
