Going to try out several cases to see what sticks. Always used the Apple leather cases previously, but just based on cost I'm pulling for the bottom 3.
Received my clear and Storm Blue 14 Pro Max cases today! I preordered the Deep Purple this morning, and I'll be getting on Sept 16.
I'm sure the lighting isn't great on my pictures, it's been a really long, hot day in SoCal. I'm exhausted! Haha
Tagging @maxrest because he wanted to see a pic of Storm Blue. It looks great in person IMO. I will say the camera cut out is HUGE, holy moly.

No case. The phone is already too big and heavy as it is tbh.

I did what I always do - ordered a clear Spigen Ultra Hybrid with MagSafe, an Apple leather case (ink)…and after a couple of months I’ll be using it naked with just my MagSafe pop socket on the back.
It happens every time.
This has been my favorite case thus far! Perfect fit on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, fits 2 credit cards and cash with zero issues.

Spoke to Caudabe today and this year it's all about the Synthesis. They said it's had a major redesign and most people so far like it better than the Sheath. Can't wait to get it and try it out.

Have a question if anyone can help - from all the photos I've seen so far it looks like the Apple clear case doesn't cover the whole bottom of the phone, whereas the Apple silicone/leather cases do?
My current iPhone is an 11 Pro where none of the Apple cases covered the bottom of the phone but seems like this has changed now!

Apple clear case - currently my top choice and I currently have one on my 11 Pro, but if it doesn't cover the bottom of the phone and the others do I might be inclined to get the others instead
Apple silicone case - I do like the silicone cases and have had several in the past. But I tend to alcohol wipe my phone a lot (was doing this even before COVID due to nature of my work) and the silicone cases really don't hold up well with this.
One of the cool looking Otterbox cases on the Apple store at the moment, but didn't have a great experience with the last Otterbox case I got for my 11 Pro (clear case, think it turned yellow quite quickly)...

My two pence worth; the open bottom on the apple clear case is a lot harsher on the pinky, on the flat sided iPhones.
Alcohol wipes will deteriorate silicone, leather etc cases
Over time. Only plastic cases or fake leather would be good for this.

The question was just to confirm if the Apple clear cases still had the open bottom while the silicone and leather cases now have covered bottoms? (I've tried looking online and can't really see any clear photos of the Apple clear case bottom so am not 100% sure on this)
If this is the case I'd be tempted to try the silicone again (despite the fact that the alcohol wipes will inevitably destroy the silicone over time)...

I have a clear case from Apple on my 11 Pro, although it looks hideous now it saved my iPhone from breaking for at least 50 times over a 3-years timespan. The bottom of the phone has some scratches though, but I was and still am not bothered by it. I only use the case when I’m on the move. When I’m at home or at the office I remove the case. It’s purely for protection and not for aesthetics. Therefore I ordered another clear case for my pre-ordered iPhone 14 Pro. The clear case is sturdy and easy to clean. It also snaps on very easily. Not sure how the experience will be with the new form factor of the 14 pro but I’ll guess I’ll find that out soon enough.
