But the point is, an iPhone isn't a priceless piece of art. It's just a phone. And if you're going to dole out the cash for a pricy pro iPhone, why would you cover that up with rubber or plastic?

I've owned nearly every iPhone since Apple started making them, and I've only ever dropped my phone a handful of times, and I've never cracked a screen. Tiny dent here or there, but that's what happens to things you own.

To me, putting a case on your phone is akin to buying a beautiful new sofa, and then covering it in plastic. Or buying a Rolex and putting it in an Otterbox. Cheese city.
So just curious? You don't use a case and don't care about using a case but you're looking and posting in a thread about what case everyone is going to get for their new phone? Interesting... Or just trolling folks who want to put a case on their phone. I see this every year in threads about cases and screen protectors. Always those people who come on these threads bashing people who want to protect their phone.

I don't get it. I don't go in threads where folks are talking about carrying their phone bare naked and bash them for not protecting it.

Nomad‘s modern leather case in natural. I normally get Apple’s leather cases, but this year’s colors haven’t inspired me. (I don’t care about the risk of this getting dark/dirty.)

I’m guessing you don’t have a toddler?

Anyway, pre-ordered a Bullstrap case in sienna and a storm blue Apple silicone case to tide me over until it arrives in October. The silicone case will be for hiking and pool visits after that.
My daughter is 7 now. Never had a problem with her breaking or damaging any of our devices. When she was 4, we got her her own iPad, and gave her an old iPhone (6ish I think), and told her that they belonged to her. Leave our devices alone, play with her own. Treat them as though they're her own, because they are. If she damages or breaks them, they won't be replaced.

Haven't had to replace hers either.

I just answered the question originally. I'm not putting a case on my iPhone. It's not trolling.

Ordered another Smartish Gripzilla for my 14 Pro deep purple. I might give Phone Rebel a shot later, but I don’t know how well it’ll stand up to construction work compared to the Gripzilla.

Okay. Your prerogative. It just always intrigues me to why people come on these threads to post their dislike for cases when it's clearly a thread about which case you will be using, not if you're going to use one. That's all. Seems like a waste of time to me.

Oh and the sofa comparison is way off. If my phone was sitting on my coffee table all the time I wouldn't worry about a case. I'm not carrying my sofa around all day and night, taking it out to eat with me, to work, and on vacation. If I was I'd probably wrap it in plastic. Usually what they do when moving furniture from one home to another to keep from damaging it.

Anyone here have experience with both the Caudabe Shealth and the Magbak? Are they the same size? How do they compare?

I am new at this stuff. Is this also where I post the receiving of my case?

Orange leather case with a comparison to the brown leather

This is what I ordered and a clear MagSafe from Apple. Going to look lovely on the silver I ordered. Looks like a great looking Orange. Hermes apple band orange like.

Thanks for the pics

I ordered the Apple leather Umber case for my silver 14 pro. Will also try to find a super thin case.

What case should I get?

Got the iPhone 14 Pro Max Space Black! Most popular phone! I think. At least the looks of it seems like it.

I want a thin case, still protecting phone, and not really heavy if possible.

A leather MagSafe case because it's thin, makes iPhone easier to hold, but not too "sticky" like silicone that you have a more difficult time getting it out of your pocket. Downside is that it's not as protective as other cases.

Spigen Thin Fit and an ESR Armorlite Screen Protector for me.

Exactly the same set up I have had my iPhone 13 Pro clad in for the last 11 months and the phone remains immaculate!

I am developing an interest in MagSafe though.. for a magnetic/charging car mount that doesn’t require a metal plate in the back of my phone case!

I think ink and forest green are the best ones.
Agreed! I am definitely going to get the ink case for my space black 14 PM. I was hesitant on it at first because I thought it was going to be a strong purple color but glad to see that it's actually more of a navy blue color.
