I just got the silicone case from AliExpress(the one which was recommended here) and tbh i'm pretty impressed by the quality.
I have 3 silicon cases from AliExpress, which resemble Apple’s silicon case and I love them. They are in my daily rotation.

This thing is sin ugly but sure looks like it would be good in hand. Anyone tried it? Thoughts?

Ringke Fusion-X [Anti-Scratch Dual Coating] Compatible with iPhone 14 Pro Max Case 6.7 Inches, Augmented Bumper Clear Hard Back Heavy Duty Shockproof Advanced Protective Cover - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9YRLM4K?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_0562RB1QA781VTN90RDQ
I've actually never seen that case in my life, in my personal opinion it's very ugly, but it looks like it would have pretty good grip lol

Carved for sure. Live edges for everyone in my family at this point. My 13 year old son wanted one to match the adults and I had no objection.. here’s his..

I did get a Apple leather case again for my 14 PM (like before) but wanted to give the silicone case a try too because they have such awesome colors. But I dunno if its related to my skin, the silicone is just slippery as hell on my hands. It just sildes out of it every time... Going to return it now because I am already annoyed as hell by it.

The weird part is, I did google a lot about it and it seems that some people find the silicone slippery too while others have the exact problem with the leather ones. Sooo my conclusion is that it actually might be related to the skin / sweat on the hands of the person. Have no other explanations for it.

That's interesting! I LOVE Apples silicone cases, but I tend to not use them because they attract lint like no other, and my OCD can't take it lol. I am currently using Apples midnight leather case right now, and I love it. The only negative about it is, the case is thin enough to the point where I am able to see the magsafe ring inside of it when I'm taking it off and on my magsafe mount in my car. Other than that, I love the Apple leather.

That slipperiness soon goes and you’re left with a sticky mess

Just got the Benks Armor Pro for my SB 14 Pro and it’s fantastic! The back is definitely more grippy than the hybrid case.

I’ve been using the Rebel Crystal Series Gen-4 with the purple buttons and I like the case. I just wish it was hard plastic vs tpu. I feel like it’s going to turn yellow eventually. The Caudabe Lucid Clear has been the only case I’ve used that don’t turn yellow.

Do your buttons jiggle when you move your phone around? Mine are horribly jiggly and are very loose. Pretty disappointed.

I hear a very slight noise if I really shake it with force next to my ear, but in normal use no. They’re the same buttons from the hybrid case so if you have one of those you can swap them which may help.

I've had cases with rattling buttons before. Cutting and applying a bit of sellotape on the back of the buttons added the small thickness needed to stop it. Shouldn't have to but it's a cheap and easy fix.

How are the compared to official apple cases in terms of size? Odd question but that's the one thing I like about apple cases is the thinness of the case "bezel" that 3rd party knock offs always make thicker. I read the comments on there and the only "negative" was it doesn't have the magsafe animation when putting the case on.

You are correct about the AliExpress silicon cases not having the MagSafe animation when inserting the iPhone. As for the size and weight, it’s comparable to the Apple silicon cases. With my eyes closed and holding the cases, I would not be able to tell which one is which. I’ve had my AliExpress silicon cases since October and they have still held up almost a year later.

Long time listener, first time caller. 👋

So, where does everyone go to sell cases that are in like-new condition and have maybe 1-2 days of cumulative use on them? Prior to the Reddit API debacle, my answer would have been r/appleswap, but now I don’t know.

Ebay? Facebook Marketplace? Each one is more terrible than the last…
