PSA: If you purchase a case from Benks and it ships from their Chinese distribution center, and you want to return the case then you have to ship the case back to China which can cost anywhere from $17 via USPS First Class Package International (1-4+ weeks) or $48-66+ via UPS. You can try to make a warranty claim to have it shipped back free, but that's if they buy your explanation of the defect.

With all that being said, I've got an unopened Benks ArmorPro for an iPhone 14 Pro Max for sale cheap, if anyone is interested.

What's wrong with it? I just ordered one that's currently in transit and should arrive next week. 😬

Long time listener, first time caller. 👋

So, where does everyone go to sell cases that are in like-new condition and have maybe 1-2 days of cumulative use on them? Prior to the Reddit API debacle, my answer would have been r/appleswap, but now I don’t know.

Ebay? Facebook Marketplace? Each one is more terrible than the last…
You’re right.. we do eBay and have found that to be the easiest. :)

I sell mine to CEX in the UK.

I’ve been using the Rebel Crystal Series Gen-4 with the purple buttons and I like the case. I just wish it was hard plastic vs tpu. I feel like it’s going to turn yellow eventually. The Caudabe Lucid Clear has been the only case I’ve used that don’t turn yellow.
there advertised as anti yellow and from what flip has been saying they shouldnt yellow, and ive been using the crystal flex and its been fine

I would say eBay but you’ll probably only get a fraction of what the case is worth after fees and such. At least in my experience.

I know, it's terrible. I've been on eBay for 20 years, and it's only gotten worse.

You have to set the price 20-25% below retail just to get people to look at it, and then they expect "free shipping", which is about 5 bucks, and then eBay takes their 15%. It turns a $45 case into $20-25 pretty fast.

To be fair, in my opinion, as soon as anything is used, regardless of condition, you’ve gotta expect to sell it at around 50% retail, max.

Totally agree with used, but I’ve had people expect the same with brand new or open box cases. It’s crazy lol

eBay used to be worth it to resell but not anymore. Between the cost of promoting the product (which I find questionable) and after they take their cut it isn’t really worth it for some items lol.

I would see expect 50%, even with that tbh. The buyer has no means of warranty or return to manufacturer.

That said, eBay's fees nowadays are a joke. Sell for £20, add £4 for the postage. Once the fees are deducted of both (Postage I don't agree with) and you've paid for the postage you'll be lucky to see £15.

Selling on Vinted is my preferred. If you seel for £20, you get £20. The buyer chooses and pays for the postage they want and the fees are also charged to the buyer as their protection fee.

My Benks Armor Pro for my 14PM arrived last Thursday. I am very happy with it. I almost exclusively used the Benks aramid mag clap (previous version) and loved it. The new one has a smaller kevlar structure and more grip. The MagSafe is as strong as with the original version.

I tried many cases since the release of the 14PM and Benks has still my favorite. I also tried Pitaka and didn`t liked the buttons. I also tried the new version and still don`t like the buttons. The metal buttons from Benks are much better and the case feels much better in the hand IMO.

I will post some pictures later.

never again will i buy the leather apple offical case. completely mess on the back and breaking away. button section also broke a little and it's only been 9 months. silicone case seem far better

I like everything about the Benks cases except for the ridiculously small cutout for the mute switch. If they had just stopped at the larger outer cutout, it would have been perfect.

I like the small cutout. It is collecting less dust. I almost never use the silent switch so I don`t mind it.

Can you please post a link to the case, I might order it. How is the grip on the case?
