All of the fakes I’ve gotten have gotten shiny with a week or two and started chipping fast. Definitely can’t be upset at that though given the cheap price of the fakes. I still stick with the Apple cases. If they do chip or wear down on their own, I get it replaced by Apple. Though I have heard some advisors deny the replacement so you just have to talk with another to get the replacement

Do they give at the bottom around the charging port? That was one thing I didn’t like about the amazons. They had flimsy areas around the charging ports and the volume and power buttons..
No, feels solid. This is the first time I ever order anything off of Ali Express. I compared it to my official apple one and you cannot tell the difference. Even the packaging looks identical. Also the first time ordering a knock-off apple case vs. 3rd party amazon brand. For $12.87 I won't be too upset if it doesn't stand the test of time.

My official apple case that I bought back in Oct. started to chip about in a corner around 6 months and the edges became shiny / grippy. This is the only case I have for it though (weird to say on this thread, I know). I just ordered one of Ali Express to see if it closely resembles Apple. Turns out, it does. So I may go back and order 2 more colors to actually rotate through cases.

So I took a "risk" and went with an Aliexpress knock off Apple Silicone case. Shipping took about a week or so but I got one and I cannot decipher any difference from the official apple one vs. knock off version.

I am kicking myself for paying apples insane pricing on these, but liked how they are thinner than any other cheap "amazon brand" out there. So I found these and paid a fraction of the price. The only thing it doesn't do is play that mag safe animation when clipped on, but who cares.

Here is the link for anyone interested: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805035306220.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.9.1f24ded7rMqekd&algo_pvid=bb8bbb7f-cd89-4427-9581-b4a676fcc1c0&aem_p4p_detail=202308100639525333370819850920000568590&algo_exp_id=bb8bbb7f-cd89-4427-9581-b4a676fcc1c0-4&pdp_npi=4@dis!USD!39.00!7.87!!!39.00!!@2103223416916747929345014ed976!12000034776639832!sea!US!0!A&curPageLogUid=cISd4AVLgNva&search_p4p_id=202308100639525333370819850920000568590_1
Should’ve gone with Temu. Lower prices, faster shipping, and free shipping.

For now. AliExpress started out that way too but reality caught up with them. Hasn’t caught up to Temu yet so take advantage.

Thank you so much for this! That was my biggest complaint with a few of the Amazon cases is that it had too much give in certain areas around the perimeter. I may have to try these one day.. unfortunately carved has my heart but if I need a decent throw away case I’ll give these a go.

For those of you who have the Casetify case or any expensive case, what do you clean it with?

As the Casetify case is a clear case with printed designs on it, I am guessing certain cleaning products could ruin the case/prints?

Often people say to use a damp cloth, but I have noticed using a damp cloth leaves visible streaks...
Are Zeiss cleaning wipes generally safe to use on cases?

The ones I have for my 12 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max, all feel just the Apple cases. The bottom is firm and don’t feel flimsy or loose.

I usually use a damp microfiber cloth, and then wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth. It works great.

Yes, I run a microfiber under warm water, and then I squeeze it out a few times to get all the excess water out. Then I wiped the screen and the case and the camera and then use a dry microfiber to dry everything off.
Don't you find water leaves streaks even after wiping dry with a microfibre cloth?

At the moment, rocking the Smartish Gripmunk. Not really a fan of using thin cases, since psychologically, I keep thinking they're too fragile.

But this one and Caudabe's Sheath have made me slowly think "maybe it's not that bad".

My sons live edge came in 😍 love these cases. All of us have live edges. Won’t use anything else ❤️❤️
That's gorgeous!!

I wish they offered other colors for the frame. Even if the back is gorgeous, I refuse to buy a case that looks black from the front 😆

They did during their birthday week. Blue copper and charcoal ◡̈

I personally like the black front. Makes my wallpapers look better and there’s no clashing lol

Im looking for a recommendation for a protective case thats grippy and not too bulky. I have the phone rebel 4 for my 14PM and love it, maybe something similar to it. So far Im looking at the MOUS Limitless 5 and the dbrand grip. I heard the MOUS can be slippery and the Dbrand has poor MagSafe magnets.

Smartish Gripzilla is a great option for you

I got two since I liked it so much. Mous limitless 5.0 black leather and carbon fibre for 14PM.
Sweet, I have the carbon got it for $50AUD off market place, someone bought it but didn’t get the phone, they are $110AUD from mous with our weak dollar.
