The nomad sport in coastal rock is an absolute banger of a case. 10/10 for me. Will probably rock this most days with a leather option as a backup.
In my few hours using it thus far, I have noticed that the back of the Nomad Sport is a bit of a fingerprint smudge factory. Not Aramid bad, but pretty visible on the briiiight racing yellow.
Nice, mine delivered today and I have NT too, am away in Bali so won’t try it for a few weeks.
Have to say the symmetry has been the perfect case for here.
Not really actually. Pretty grippy. But I also don’t have oily hands so ymmv.
Peak Design has the v2 version of their case with the button available for order. That was the last case I've been waiting for until I started wanting the coastal rock version of the Nomad Sport case. This may be a 'why not both?' kind of situation.

This is why my Modern Leather sadly sits in the drawer of death. Wish it had the same dimensions as the Sport case. You can see the difference in this photo I took last week...
Ok but how does it affect using the case?
I quite like the Racing Yellow colour and have both the case and the watch band being delivered tomorrow. I am a bit concerned about the shininess of the case as it looks quite nice in the online images. I guess I’ll see when it’s delivered. I do like the idea of having the same colour phone case and watch band. I have the Decoded Apricot coloured case and had the matching Decoded Apricot watch band delivered the other day for the same reason.
I have the Decoded Apricot coloured case and watch band ( they’re actually orange in colour in my opinion ) I haven’t opened the watch band box yet but it looks like from the box it’s pretty much a match.
I don’t like smudges either but it’s not enough of a bother for me not to get a case.
Yup bottom covered. It's the closest thing to Apple Leather I have felt. But the leather is miles better. I will eventually get a different color down the road.
Does the lint magnet nature of apple silicone cases calm down and if so how long does it take? I’ve been using the black one for 3 days straight and I really enjoy the feel in hand, the lightness and the grip. But the lint is awful and it just looks rubbish all the time. If it doesn’t improve soon then it’s going back
In my experience, no. In my time with the Apple Silicone case last year I was constantly having to wipe it down, whether that be some sort of mysterious slippy gunk or pocket lint.
Black is the worse color for lint, they’re all equally lint magnets but it stands out more on dark colors. People swear it gets better but in my experience it doesn’t change.
To me very much no! I've had many people tell me over the years "it eases over time" but I've never found it so. At one point I was so desperate to make it work I stuck with one for about 3 months without ever taking it off, and it was still gathering just as much lint and still being just as difficult to get in/out my jeans pockets. I've sworn off them ever since, which is sad because if it wasn't for that I think they'd be my #1 case choice.
Also - a note on colours. I head people often say "black is the worst for lint" but in my experience they're all about the same - the lighter colours just show more of the darker lint!! 🤦🏻♂️ 🤣
The Apple silicone feels SO good in the hand though but…
One major flaw. Unless you don’t mind your case looking linty as hell every time you remove it from your pocket lol
Just had a case I got from Amazon delivered. A silicone case which cost me a total of £4. For £4 the quality is outstanding.
I only ordered it as I’ve not tried silicone cases in years and thought if I don’t mind it I can get the Apple case.
I’m surprised by the quality for £4 but it’s already covered in lint etc so it’s not for me.

I’m (finally) pretty much settled on my top 5 for my 15PM. From here on out I’ll just be occasionally rotating among these:
- Mous Limitless 5.0 (one each in aramid and walnut)
- Phone Rebel Gen 5
- Otterbox Symmetry
- Nomad Rugged
- Pitaka MagEZ Pro 4
Would you be able to tell me, Mous vs Symmetry, which is wider? My Symmetry is just a tad bit too wide for me to comfortably wrap my pinky around the edge one handed.
