Plastic, TPU, silicone, PVC tape, etc., etc.
The wear will be minimal and last the year or so any case would be in service.
(Much longer to us multi case connoisseurs.)

But importantly the iPhone buttons will be tip-top.
What is PVD coating then?

Who cares about the metal buttons against the phones actual buttons. I don’t understand why this is a problem. Not like it’s going to damage the phones buttons where they don’t function 100%

No concern for me one bit
No concern for me either. I believe the iPhone buttons are PVD coated.

Ok what’s softer than the iPhone buttons that could used?

And wouldn’t that softer material wear over time?
TPU or poly which both seem unlikely to wear out over the life of a phone. The Mous buttons are a good example of clicky buttons that are not metal.

If a case only lasts a year or so it’s not a very good quality case then.

What cases will last more than a year?

Don’t know if I’m buying about the metal buttons. Doesn’t matter to me anyway. But from doing some research the iPhone 15 pro buttons are PVD coated. So PR response might not be BS.

If this is true then the Frosty buttons are PVD coated AND so are the iPhone 15 pro.

Haha, yes I do know what PVD is thanks.

I’m not calling it BS that it’s coated by PVD, I’m calling BS that this coating doesn’t require lining.

The gen 4 buttons are coated via PVD also but they lined those ones. As do nearly all other manufacturers.

I’m just not comfortable using non lined metal buttons.

Ok this racing yellow nomad sport case is so bold and bright it wants to smack you right in the face lol...honestly it's a little too much for my liking. Wish it was a little more muted like the watch band. The watch band is a keeper, the case sadly will be sent back.

Damn you Nomad, give me Ultra Orange

In regards to scrapes/scratches, I don’t actually have a problem with uncoated metal buttons, I get a new phone every year anyway. That said, from a purely functional standpoint, the Mous TPU buttons are my favorite (when they work properly, which hasn’t been the case on every case I’ve owned from them); they’re light and responsive, yet with no metal to metal contact which can sometimes create annoying clicks and rattles. I’ve experienced these rattles on both Nomad and Pitaka cases (but not the Phone Rebel.)

Anyone got the Rebel frosted with one of the darker iPhones and could post a pic of the back?

I've got a 15 Pro in Blue and wondering how the back of the frosted looks with a dark phone.

The Gripmunk finally arrived!

Like it a lot, it's like a Sheath but good. Feels great in the hand.
Things I'm not overly keen on is the pretty much nonexistent lip around the screen and the bottom cutouts are bigger than they need to be. Is the lip bigger on the Gripzilla?
Will be using for now though.

Man, imagine if there was a case company that allowed total customisation!

Choices on:
Screen lip height.
Camera ring height.
Button type - moulded in or floating.
Cutout size.
Bulk size, from thin to super rugged with or without corner bumpers.
Side grip pattern options.
Rear, clear, frosted or solid.
Wide choice of colours.
Lanyard holes or not.
And of course user swappable colour options for buttons and camera ring. Metallic or plastic.

Obviously not cost effective to manufacture and store that many SKUs but maybe if built to order......

Would you guys so the Phone Rebel case is better than the Mous Limitless 5.0? Thinking of ordering it but the delivery costs are expensive...

Am I the only person that worries about having my amazon account closed for excessive returns?
I worry when it’s high value items. Like when I was trying to find the right Bluetooth headset for teams calls. But with phone cases I don’t worry. Mainly because I have a solid amount of monthly subscribe and save items so I figure they make plenty of money off of me still.
