I haven’t seen this issue in prior years.
Caudabe support says it’s normal and linked this thread: https://www.macrumors.com/2020/10/23/magsafe-circular-imprints-leather-cases/

I got a Velvet Caviar case in the mail today. They finally added MagSafe to their Stardust cases. The last two series (iPhone 13 and 14) I’ve gotten this color, so why not keep the tradition. The MagSafe is strong too. It’s got a tall lip on the front too. Buttons are clicky. I’ll be using this one for a while probably.

Sorry you have not received the Mous shipment yet. Took 12 days to get this one with that cheap A@@ UPS mail innovations shipping Mous uses. Completely forgot they used this shipping or I would have never ordered.

Have a feeling this material on the back will get dirty quick and never clean up, hopefully I'm wrong.

I knew I’d find you here.

Pics?

Im so confused... "Camera protection bumpers"???
A piece that goes around the lenses, but doesn't cover them. One example:

What's your definition of thin? It's not Pitaka MagEZ 4 thin, but both cases are extremely form fitted to the phone with a very thin profile. Does not make the phone feel wider (hate cases like that)

Here's a side comparison

L to R - Apple Silicone, Nomad Sport, Synthesis, Frosty

Cool.

Your description of them being from fitting and not making the phone feel taller or wider is basically what I'm after.

Looking at your pic there, tempted to give thta Nomad sport a go!

Comparing all 4, what about width? For me that also plays a factor.

it’s not really a case i know, but i got the arc pulse a week ago and have used it now for like 4 days in a row. i really like it. doesn’t add any weight to the phone. feels really nice to hold phone with the slight bump at the bottom. is real convenient to grip the bottom bar to put in or pull out of my pocket. the iphone pro max is really light and with this i really notice it. i’m a fan.
How easy is it to put on and take off. 🤔

It does make me feel a little better seeing that it’s covered under their warranty. Thanks for sharing that
Eh, used my 14 pro sheath for 8 months and nothing, in car and Apple MagSafe charger.
They have stuffed this years just not owning up.
i wonder what changed this year for this imprint thing to happen. Maybe something with the inside felt lining

Had the Gripmunk on for less than a day, MagSafe too weak. Fell off my bedside MagSafe stand with hardly any effort.

Back in the Enzo for now, sticks like glue.

If the added bulk doesn’t bother you, cases that lay flat on their back without wobbling are so nice, especially if you use the “Always on Display” setting and lay your phone down face up. This Nomad Rugged, a few UAGs, and the Otterbox Defender have this feature. Are there others?

I really want to like Nomad Rugged. But the frontside has barely got any lip. Frustrating to see this when the backside lip is so much.

That's very disappointing. Not sure if I should get the case anymore. Shouldn't have to buy a separate USB cable to use a case.
Why would you need to buy a separate cable? The apple one that comes in the phone box will be fine as will anker cables. Unless you’re planning on buying chunky ones or usb 3/4..

I’m curious if you’re referring to the IP14 or IP15 version? Last year’s had a lip of only 1.2mm, but they upped it to 1.65mm this year, which seems sufficient to me.

Yup! Talking about the one for 14 Pro. I assumed no change in this year's model. Thank you for catching my error!

Do you think the 15 Pro case would work for use with 14 Pro device? If I can go without using the mute switch, would I be able to use the newer case?

Does anyone recall if Nomad traditionally has a “New Year’s“ sale? Trying to decide if I should try to order the sport case now (with a 10% off code) or wait to see if anything better will come along in a few weeks. I’m probably going with super blue, so I’m not necessarily worried about a more popular color like coastal rock going back out of stock.

Thanks for clarifying! Unfortunately, I don’t think the IP15 case will fit the IP14.

The Sheath seems more flexible this year than in years past. I have to wonder if the back is thinner to make space for the addition of the lining. Whatever the issue, it seems they didn’t do enough testing. The “it’s normal” response from their support staff is BS.

I already have a couple of 6ft non Apple cables that I use besides the stock Apple cable that comes in the box.

I recently picked up this relatively cheap little case off of amazon:

TORRAS Slim Fit Magnetic Stand for iPhone 15 Pro Max Case, Fit for MagSafe, Camera Kickstand, Ultra Thin Anti-Scratch Protective Matte Phone Cover for iPhone 15 ProMax Case, Black Titanium

it has been surprisingly great. Rather slim, and the implementation of a built in kick stand as a bumper around the camera is fantastic. Not only does it protect the camera lenses from scratches, but its nice to have a built in way to rest the phone in standby mode to use my iPhone as a desk clock, or when flying to just plop the phone down on the tray table for easy/comfortable viewing. Highly recommended.

I've traditionally used Peak Design cases, and if this one fails I'll probably grab another PD Everyday case, but for now this case is great.

I didn’t realize they made the slim fit with MagSafe magnets. I like their green color option. Did yours come with interchangeable colored buttons?
