My Sheath replacement is arriving on Monday... a black one instead of the gray since Caudabe offered to send out another color immediately if I didn't want to wait for the gray backlog. I'm hoping it's a revised version... 🤞
I too opted for the black instead of waiting on the gray replacement and it is the newer version. So you should be good.

I got the coastal rock Nomad Sport case today and it looks to have a manufacturing defect. The TPU on the top left corner to the middle of the Dynamic Island doesn't sit flush to the top of the phone. I can see a sliver of the titanium band under it. It's 1-1.5mm gap and immediately noticeable. I'm going to see if I can exchange it for a different one.

Other than that it's a really nice case. Great buttons, grippy enough, good Magsafe strength, the coastal rock color is gorgeous, and good pinky comfort. If I can get one where all of the corners site flush to the edge it's a keeper.
This was exactly the problem with my white sport case, they offered me credit since everything else is sold out. First time I’ve ever had a problem with any Nomad product.

I received the Otterbox Defender XT pro today. I really like the sturdiness of the case BUT I did think it was a bit cheap to not include the belt clip ( They did include a sheet with a free code but you still have to pay shipping and its $4.99 ) The defender clip have a great belt clip that allows video content viewing as the clip turns into a stand.

Otterbox sent me the beltclip and did not charge me anything. After you type in the code it should be free. Super slow shipping but it was free.

Oh that's good to hear that's it's a defect they'll either credit me for or straight replace.

This is also the first issue I've had after multiple very good products from Nomad.

I had a Nomad Rugged with a bulge at the power button right out of the box. Also had defective cases from Caudabe, Pitaka, Mous, and Apple. Not a good year for case QC!

Like many here, I've also been a huge Caudabe buyer for many years. One thing that's bothered me more this year than I thought it would, aside from the button issues, is the price. They've obviously increased the price a bit (I'm aware that coupon codes generally exist for them, but still, the principle of it) over time. At this point, we are still looking at a basic TPU/Poly blend case (Sheath) with a liner and MagSafe for $40. When you make that jump to the $49 mark, cases improve in quality and features. I wish the Sheath was priced at $35 or even $30.

I've never used the Phone Rebel cases, but I have always been aware of them. I decided to try them out about a week ago after feeling indifferent about the Sheath for a bunch of weeks. This case is phenomenal. If anything, I'd make it slightly more minimal. But it's surprising that there's only a $10 difference.

This has me thinking of the good ole Magpul field and bump case. Maybe similar materials to the Caudabe. The field case was more flexible than the bump. Simple case like the Caudabe that checked all the boxes.

Besides that the Magpul field and bump were priced VERY well compared to what was out there at the time. IMO it was the best value for what you got.

I mean even with @TechnicallyTee 20% off discount code it brings the Sheath ALL IN at $36.49. Personally a 30% discount code would be the sweet spot.

Look at the Frosty. Amazon it’s $40.50 all in. IMO out of all the cases out there PR prices their cases right in conjunction with protection / thinness ration. The Nomad Sport case is $50 all in.

Same issue with my super blue case. Although I really like the case, I am sending it back for a full refund. I don’t want to take a chance exchanging it with their weak QC.

Well, as I've been using that case for almost 4 months now, guess I don't mind it that much, either… let's say it was just mildly disappointing.

As for the lint, dirt, smudges… those can be wiped off quite easily. Yeah, you have to do it more often than with hard surfaces - which I can imagine would bother some people. I was using these same silicone cases in the past with the 13 Pro and the XS, so I'm pretty much used to it.

They want to get something out and not lose out on that just upgraded my phone schmoney!
Looking at the number of returns mentioned in the thread including ones featuring in top 10s, and the fact that I don’t have the luxury of returns, as I get it through friends, I decided not to buy any third party cases from the U.S. :) i was earlier planning to buy Nomad sport case and Pitaka after the Aulumu I already ordered. Now went ahead and bought the Apple winter blue silicone locally. Whilst I am not digging it’s Magsafe strength with my Apple wallet it’s got a nice feel to it.

Really appreciate everyone’s feedback on this thread. Thanks a lot.

I agree. For me I don’t buy cases that aren’t listed on Amazon no matter how much I want it. The only case I did that with was Caudabe recently which was against my grain.

FOR SALE: $50.00 this morning only !

Anyone need a green Mous for the 15 Pro Max?

$50.00 Shipped with tracking payment via PayPal Friends/Family

I'll never use this case so might as well sell it.

New, never used, complete in factory packaging.

If not sold by 12:00 noon EST my daughter is taking it, end of story.
$40 and I’ll take it off your hands. If not, no worries.

No worries. I know the case retails for $60, so if you weren’t returning for a refund, thought it’d be a good way to recoup some of your money, but it can be a Christmas present for your daughter. Thanks.
No, that case was $65.00 plus tax, plus shipping and it took 12 days to receive from Mous.
Not a Christmas gift for my daughter, she just wanted it and usually takes most cases I don't use.
Thanks anyhow.

If there are any takers, it's still for sale for the rest of the day o_O

You didn’t get Amazon prime ?

I like frosty a lot better. Too much grip on the sides of the aramid for me. Just a lot more harsh. Reminds me of the Synthesis that now sits in the drawer of death. Still a keeper, but prefer frosty way more.
