Finally got some time to black out the PR Gen5 with the matte black components. Transforms the case to another level my goodness. Goes well with frosty too.

Also my updated Sheath will be here tomorrow and finally my Bullstrap Maverick collection will be here Sat. I also have an Andar coming right after Christmas. A nice way to end 2023.

The blacked out Gen 5 looks amazing. Sadly, I sent mine back to Amazon today. Both copies I had were making subtle clicks and pops due, I think, to the extreme stiffness around the edges and the exposed hard surfaces inside the case. I noticed on the inside the microfiber lining is actually lower than the hard areas surrounding the camera opening and the metal logo insert, which I was concerned may eventually lead to scuffs on the glass back in those areas.

Got the pitaka magez 5 yesterday, 10 days direct from Pitaka. Was running the Benks armor air a lot prior to getting this, the pitaka is the winner for me. The looks are amazing and pitaka has done a great job of eliminating any sharp edges. I miss the alignment magnet but it’s not a deal breaker. The first pic I included a screenshot from a YouTube vid, it looks like pitaka may be testing/moving to a v5 with alignment magents.

Nice, gz!
Mine has been stuck at an airport in Hongkong for a week now :(

Flimsy sides? lol
Yep sides will come apart from the phone in a drop, first hand experience lol
Have had the sides crack on a synthesis too taking it off.
Why do you think they keep giving freebies for faults etc, made cheap as chips in china and selling for a premium.

I just got the transparent Spigen case for my new iPhone 15 Pro. I went with transparent so I can see more of the phone's Titanium color.

Anyone else have this case? Any downsides?

When you dropped your iPhone did the case protect your iPhone?

As far as the sides cracking when taking it off. I haven’t seen any reports in this thread about that except you. 😀

The replacements I’ve heard in this thread were for the condom ring on the sheath and buttons for the sheath and synthesis. Other than that it’s been reported it’s a good case.

There have also been reports of the MagSafe magnets falling out of the Synthesis. Supposedly that has been corrected now.

It seems to hard to get the perfect case

What is better out of the Sheath and Synthesis?
The only real difference between the two I think, is the texture/grip. My pick was the Sheath. See this post for side by side pics:

What did you pick the Sheath over the Synthesis?

There is no perfect case. In my experience, the Sheath is more comfortable in the hand and easier to take on and off, while being less grippy and less protective. The Synthesis is noticeably stiffer while being very slightly lighter and thinner. The Sheath has a protective lining, the Synthesis does not.
