What did you pick the Sheath over the Synthesis?
Like many I enjoy both for different reasons. If I need a more rugged case with good grip, I'll choose the Synthesis. If I want just a nice looking everyday case I'll choose the Sheath. Once I receive the updated versions for each I'll really have no complaints left for either.

There is no perfect case. In my experience, the Sheath is more comfortable in the hand and easier to take on and off, while being less grippy and less protective. The Synthesis is noticeably stiffer while being very slightly lighter and thinner. The Sheath has a protective lining, the Synthesis does not.
That too. Synthesis was very hard to take off. As someone with multiple cases, I didn’t like that. Sheath fits really well around the phone and isn’t horrible to remove.

The side grip ended up being too rough on my baby hands
I have experience with both the sheath and synthesis. I’ve said before that I loved the matrix grips of the Synthesis. With the Synthesis that’s the only place you get grip. The back is slippery on the fingers. I enjoyed that kind of gripage until…

Now that I have the Sheath I think I prefer the less grippy(still good) but more consistent grip all over the phone. Didn’t think I would need or enjoy grip on the back of the case but now that I have the Sheath I’m liking it.

Yep sides will come apart from the phone in a drop, first hand experience lol
Have had the sides crack on a synthesis too taking it off.
Why do you think they keep giving freebies for faults etc, made cheap as chips in china and selling for a premium.

You had a defective case. Full stop.

I’ve got 6 Sheaths and 3 Synthesis and there’s no way the sides could come away from the phone in a drop. No way.

I don’t believe this in any way. And they’re giving freebies because they back their cases. If you cracked the Synthesis taking it off, that’s user error, not the case. It’s tight, but it’s not that tight.

Nomad was pretty quick sending out those replacement Action buttons for their Rugged Cases. Got the email on Thursday, put my order in shortly after that... got them today via USPS First Class.

Haven't popped them in yet, as I don't really use the Action button, so it's not high priority for me.

With a different USPS package I had in the mailbox, it was a Nomad day.

Sure hope they include a couple sport bands with my replacement action button o_O

Updated Sheath is here and makes all the difference with the longer slits within the buttons. If my Dremel skills were like they used to be, probably could of done this myself lol

Comparison shot added as well with some of my favorite cases

Bullstrap Maverick collection coming tomorrow and an Andar right after Christmas. Just in time to knock out my top 5 by the new year.

The black Sheath with the natty looks glassy.

Which do you prefer the Sheath or Synthesis? I’m loving my Sheath.

I have the Andar aspen case in navy and with shipping it was $90 Canadian. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the bullstrap especially at the price. Here in Canada that case would almost be $120

For me, Sheath all day over the Synthesis. I was a huge Synthesis fan but after so many cases came out, it dropped out of rotation completely. Not a fan of the plastic shell back either. Scratched easy.

Sheath feels not as wide as the Synthesis too.

Ordered an Otterbox Core in blue as newly out by looks of it.

It’s smooth and the recycled plastic gives it texture so isn’t flat. It’s slightly slippy but as I’ve used over a few hours been a decent grip.
The lip on the front is quite high which took me a while to get used to.

The MagSafe is decent so far as well.

Overall, a nice case I’ll keep. I quite like a soft texture case, for me it’s just nicer to hold. Will probably keep this in rotation with my Synthesis and Spiegen Ultra Hybrid.
