is the nomad leather durable? I heard some users experience leather separating since its fused to the tpu sides
Mine has had no issues. I dropped my phone for the first time the other day, in my Nomad Horween case, about waist height. I can see where the case took impact, on the top corner edge of the leather it’s a little flattened, hardly noticeable.

Aight. Excuse the crappy iPad Pro camera pictures lol feel free to request some. Out of all them I think I’m gonna send back the fully clear crystal. Just isn’t my cup of tea. Really like the white MagSafe ring tho.
Do you use the Snap 4 Luxe? How do you like it? I used to use a PopSocket but I’m considering the Snap this time bc it looks so slim. Is it comfortable to use as a one handed grip?

I've got questions about MagSafe chargers. I'm posting these questions in this 'cases' thread because MagSafe and cases -- they go hand in hand. Plesae help?

In brief: Is there such thing as a 'strong' MagSafe charger? In particular a charger that's 'stronger' than Apple's? If so then would you please provide some names/links?

Here's the backstory: I like 'rugged' cases. I've been searching for one that's protective (like Otterbox Defender Series Pro) but also pocketable (unlike Otterbox DSP). Last week I received Rokform case. And I like it -- a lot! Rokform is known for having very strong magnets. Rokform case has superstrong MagSafe ring along with superstrong bottom plate and also an optional third magnet that can be placed on the interior of the MagSafe circle. [In order for wireless charging and Rokform case to coexist, this third magnet must not be in place.]

There's reviews on Amazon that say Rokform has flaky MagSafe charging. Specifically: The flow of electricity (or whatever it's called) doesn't stick. The battery icon flashes because the electrical connection keeps going in and out... I assumed that this is because of the strength of the magnets. But in a couple reviews the authors write that it's because of the thickness of the case itself. They say that they contacted Rokform and that Rokform says to use Rokform's own wireless charger (which, I think, is not a MagSafe type of charger?).

I'd be happy to buy the Rokform charger but it's not buyable on Amazon and it's not buyable on Rokform's own site even.

So now I'm wondering whether or not there's a 'stronger than average' MagSafe charger out there? Do all MagSafe chargers support the same maximum case-thickness that Apple's charger supports? Help, please!

Was last years Sheath similar specs to the Apple cases?
Yes, and IMO it still is. 1mm difference is very close to no difference and is probably mostly accounted for in the slightly higher lip on the Sheath. The main difference is in weight and surface texture.

I’ll take a lower front lip over a thinner depth case.

Technically Tee addressing to interior frost problem with the Phone Rebel Gen 5 Frosted.

Took my new Frosty off this morning and already have slight frost damage along the very bottom interior edge near the charge port :(

So, yesterday after receiving mine I did inspect it and mine also has a bit of frost missing.. only really visible with the right lighting, but it’s a bit bothersome that it came this way, I don’t believe I caused this as I only removed the case one time and I was careful when putting it on

Yea, it kind of sucks. Last years Frosty did not have frost on the inside and was still in perfect condition after many months of use.

Apple specs a maximum of 2mm back thickness for MagSafe cases, with the average on the market being 1.8mm. This assumes no metal parts near the charging coil, which can further degrade connectivity. I suspect the Rokform, like some of the UAG cases, doesn’t adhere to these specs. I tried at least a half dozen MS chargers on a non-compliant UAG case and there was no discernible difference between any of them (none worked properly). I suspect you’ll find the same with the Rokform. Have you considered thinner—yet still highly protective—cases such as the Phone Rebel Gen 5 or Mous Limitless 5.0?

Also, bit nitpicky, but there is also a tiny ding on the inside of the camera ring. My fingernail catches on it. Not visible from the outside of the case tho.

Yeah I bought 3 of them because they looked neat. They are comfortable I just hate that they are permanent. But luckily they are thin. MagSafe is strong as **** lol
The natural titanium kind of dull looking?
Any different in weight between the titanium and regular buttons?
Yeah the buttons are dullish unlike the shiny camera ring. Slight difference but nothing noticeble while on the case

I use the S4L and recommend it. my wife uses and loves the pop socket but I cant stand it because how thick it is. I like how thin the snap is and how strong the magnet is on the back, not needing to remove it when charging.

I mainly use the snap with slippery/bulky protective cases that are challenging to hold, or when I dont use a case at all. has worked for me well.

Surprisingly the silicone has more lipage than the Sheath.

I got one in last night. Initial impressions are very good but I want to use it for a few days before I make a post about it.
I had the blue one but sent it back. Felt a little thick in the hand but didn’t leave it on long enough because I wasn’t a fan of the color. Felt kinda soft-touchish

Just checked out the new case that Bullstrap released...and lets just say that they should definitely stick to leather cases. 🤢
Are you talking about the 'MagSafe FRWD' case?

I actually love it!!! 🤣 Just ordered it in 'solstice' colour. To my tastes it looks bang on!

For anyone who's not seen it I've attached some pics.
