Are you gping to use Natty titanium components on the other cases as well? Or those buttons wont look good on the other two case? That’s great to know. I plan on using my natty titanium component set on the crystal gen5

Oh ok. So what is your configuration on the aramid case right now. I know the frosty is the ultra buttons and the matte black camera ring.I bought the components for the crystal but will test the buttons tomorrow when they arrive on the other cases in the meantime
Will say this, the ti buttons seem to be ever so slightly more snug in the button holesI bought the components for the crystal but will test the buttons tomorrow when they arrive on the other cases in the meantime
Any pics of them that you can share? Will say this, the ti buttons seem to be ever so slightly more snug in the button holes
I would prefer a bit wider than heavierI had the symmetry, I liked it a lot but it was just a tad too wide for me. So I have the Phone Rebel Frosted as my “rugged” case since it offers really good drop protection.
I had that issue with a Nomad Rugged. The replacement was fine.Well crap. I got my replacement Nomad Sport case in today and the TPU around the buttons on both sides is very loose fitting compared the the rest of the case. I can live with it but it's hard to when the case costs $50 (and when cases costing half as much don't have these issues). I'm likely going to try and do another warranty claim. Maybe the third case will finally be perfect?
I am currently rotating between this Torras S2 and the Benks Armor Air, weight wise they are similar and I am trying to strive for the thinnest case possible. The Benks being aramid in material is obviously more protective, but the sharp edges here and there makes holding it rather uncomfortable at times. At the moment I have settled to the Torras, it feels so smooth in my hands, buttons are in the right place with the right thickness, the type-C port opening is large enough to fit a fat head cable, and the edges really fits the phone's shape well despite the material being somewhat brittle. But I agree the phone probably won't survive a hard concrete drop in this, lol. I got the Benks Armor Pro ready to deploy, whenever I feel like abusing the phone for the day.Last one I have to share is one I never see spoken about here. The Torras Slim Fit with MagSafe.
Last years edition of this case I couldn’t use because it was a smudge machine… but this year they corrected that and I haven’t had a single oil smudge on it. Case feels nice, a touch slippery if your hands are really dry, but the buttons are MUCH IMPROVED, and I love the way it looks. Only strange thing is when looking at it from the front, it has these odd flare outs in the corners. I’m assuming it’s for a tiny bit of drop protection but I could have lived without those as anyone buying this isnt buying for drop protection lol. I would def recommend for anyone looking for something ultra light and slim.
My quest for a slim leather case saw me giving Moft’s plastic* ‘leather’ case a go seeing as it was on offer on Amazon.
This is the ‘taupe’ colour but it’s basically grey and initial impressions after a few hours are good!
As slims as Apple’s previous offerings and it actually feels like leather. Possibly a little more slippery but not bad at all.
We’ll see…..
*I refuse to call it Vegan Leather as those two words do not belong together 🤣
They could have even gone down the Moft route and offered a decent pleather option.
I reckon people would have been happy with that.
You're not gonna get patina/wear obviously but they have got the feel of leather 95% there and the fit and slimness of the case is 99% as close to Apple's as you're gonna get. I am surprisingly impressed with mine and after bashing the the price (£50) of their cases, so far, I am happy with the £40 I paid. Feels well worth it at the mo*
One thing is for sure, Apple definitely won't offer the FW cases for the 16 series.
*I switch cases so much, I reserve the right to change this opinion if needed 😂
Yep. Couple of my posts, with pics aboveHas anyone used the moft movas case? It’s really tempting
I have pretty much settled on this case for Home/WFH. Only when I venture out for longer duration I swap it out.Winter Blue sili for today
Gotcha! Thanks for pointing that outI am currently rotating between this Torras S2 and the Benks Armor Air, weight wise they are similar and I am trying to strive for the thinnest case possible. (the "odd flare outs in the corners" are there to help the phone fit into / taken out of the case. Without them, if the corners were as flushed as the edges where they almost have a rolling to the top, your phone will be really hard to take out)

yeah this makes the titanium buttons not usable in my crystal gen 5Will say this, the ti buttons seem to be ever so slightly more snug in the button holes
The Sheath is 1.2mm thicker in depth than the Apple silicone. I measured with a caliper. L and w about the same.A
The Sheath seems slightly thicker, and their TPU formulation seems more dense than the silicone used in the Apple case, which probably explains the difference in weight. I have yet to see drop tests of both of these cases on the same phone, so it’s difficult to say, but intuitively the Caudabe appears to be slightly more protective. Neither are what I would consider very protective cases.
Have you been running the Sheath, and if so, have you seen any sign of the MagSafe indentation? I contacted Caudabe this morning with hopes of returning mine for a refund because of this issue.
You could apply a bit of leather conditionerAnyone have any tips on how to make leather cases grippy faster? Normally not an issue but it’s cold and dry here so with no hand sweat the brand new leather can be extra slick!
Was last years Sheath similar specs to the Apple cases? They did but last years.
Sheath has always been similar size to apples cases, except for weight since MagSafe.
Slightly off topic, but can anyone recommend the best screen protector? My 2 main criteria are ease of application (i.e. something like Spigen's easyfit tool) as being off-centre etc triggers my OCD!! and secondly clarity/non-noticeability - if I can very obviously tell that a protector is on my phone every time I use it, I just end up taking it off within a few days.
I wish they had the same luster the camera ring hasAny pics of them that you can share?
is the nomad leather durable? I heard some users experience leather separating since its fused to the tpu sides2nd Nomad Modern arriving today. Will see if it knocks out the symmetry and FW.
Won't be mentioning the Shiith anymore or responding to nastiness for being called the T word.
This thread for the 14 was great, none of that, shame a few have crept in and ruined it because their beloved case has been critiqued.
