How is that going to cause physical damage? 🤔
I think so.

They still haven't uploaded a picture to show us. Swiping on the edge of the case is never, ever going to 'dent' it.

And if it's damaged from taking it on and off, who on earth would take a case off by putting pressure on the thinnest part of the case?!

Ok hopefully you’ll like the crysty. What case you running now? I’m thinking of getting the Apple silicone again in storm blue.

I am using my Andar Aspen leather case right now. I see they might be coming out with a bulstrap closed bottom case and i think i would be interested in that.

It's showing "screen protector install kit" highlighted and not the 15 Pro Max.

It’s a case lol - if it’s meant to be protective it should withstand some pressure - amazing to me how many of you will apologize for a trillion dollar corporation.

One of the things you have said that could have caused the damage is 'swiping up'. You have said even taking it on and off could have caused it? So you dont actually know.

Swiping up, causing a dent in the case is, to be frank, ridiculous. It's not going to happen. No wonder Apple threw your claim out if you said this. Taking it on and off, a possibility but given it shows you on the box how to take the case on and off, if you have told them you use the bottom of the case to lever it off then yep, you're doing it wrong and they have covered themselves (by putting the image on the box)

Stick a picture up, show the forum what Apple will not cover and perhaps help our opinions on this change. At the moment you keep moaning and slating them for not covering an issue but won't show us the issue you have so it's hard to not to see this as trolling.

Swipe issue seems unlikely but that is where the dent is so I mentioned it - but yes probably from removing the case - I had no idea there was a method to remove this “protective” accessory

Thanks!

I'd probably class that as wear (becuase it looks like it's caused by rubbing) rather than dented/damaged.

That said, if that happened after few weeks use I'd be disappointed if it wasn't covered by a warranty. Be interesting to know what they actually said they thought this was?

Have you tried raising the issue again, perhaps to speak with a different advisor? Did you buy the case from Apple?

Thanks for the pic. It seems to me they should have replaced the case. Apple silicone cases are the most fragile cases I’ve ever experienced; my wife can burn through one in just a few months… lol. I like the design and feel, but the way they tend to self destruct makes them a no go for me.

I bought at an Apple Store and tried to warranty over the phone - not sure if I go to an Apple Store they will consider because there is a case number attached to the request?

I have always found them helpful over live chat but in store you may have a better chance? Def worth a go.

How long have you had it? When did it become an issue?
