Few months then.

Definitely would not expect wear like that. Hound them until they break 😂
I don’t know if you’ve used the Apple silicone much, but they can’t take much abuse. My wife drops her phone regularly, and in no time the corners start peeling and shortly thereafter chunks start falling out. In general, I don’t think silicone makes a very good case material. Its best attribute is that it’s cheap to manufacture (the Apple silicone is extremely overpriced IMO). Not my pic, but to show the issue:

This is my first silicon case but since I never drop my phone (lol - watch it happens today) I figured it would be fine.

Edit: there were not many options before launch day for the 15PM

I've used them on and off before. The longest I've probably used one is 2/3 weeks but have seen some horror pictures

At the end of the day I feel Apple should take care of their customers in the same fashion as other high end case companies - many of which have a no questions exchange - if you’re paying a premium these exchanges are baked into the price.

Edit: while I am not trolling I am trying to get the message out there so that others don’t assume Apple will stand by their 1 year warranty - I’d be very happy with my purchase even with this issue if they made a one time exchange and it happened again - I don’t expect miracles but come on - a few months and this happens for a $50 case that costs them a few dollars

I retract my trolling comments and am now on your side after seeing a picture 😂

Thanks @iFone88 😊

Unrelated to the damage issue - I find this silicone case is awful on the pinky. Anyone have recos for a case with a good grip and super comfortable to hold in various positions? I don’t need it to be very protective. Thanks!

Edit - needs a strong MagSafe too (same strength as Apple cases)

Natural Titanium/White Titanium iPhone with the Frosted Gen-5 owners, how does the Blue Titanium kit contrast with the back?

Finally got around to trying on my replacement Pitaka Pro case, and it's a dud. The buttons rattle like crazy and both sides bulge, causing it to pop/rub when you grip the phone. The first one wasn't like this so I'm not sure what's going on. Really disappointing for a case that costs as much as it does.

Time to try the Nomad Sport, or maybe one of the other aramid cases I guess.

Que lastima! Man, I hope that's an anomaly and not a problem with current production. Agreed there's no excuse for that on any case, let alone one that costs as much as the pro does.

Did you happen to buy it through Amazon? They sent me two copies that were clearly used before finally sending a new one. This is the worst year I’ve had for receiving so many cases that were obviously returns resold as new.

Same issue here, receive more returned cases than I do new ones. Amazon’s quality checks must be horrendous if these are getting sold as new.

Yeah it’s quite bad lately. Received a used PR aramid gen5 this week. They also changed their return policies. Lots of items now can take up to 30 days to get a refund back. It has nothing to do with shipped and sold by Amazon either.

I contacted chat and they said keep the case and also refunded my money instantly.

I cleaned the case and it’s brand new condition again.

Still no dice for the black crystal here in the US.
I wasn’t a fan at all, sent that thing right back. The buttons were terrrrrrrrible, except for the stock gunmetal ones. I tried the matte black set, as well as the ultra orange set, both felt stuck. It would press the button but you couldn’t tell by feel that it actually did anything.
