I recommend sleeping first before contacting the divorce lawyer…

You could try some leather balm to try and soften it down, or just bite the bullet and order yourself another.
She ordered me another one lol all good back in the green aspen now that I found it in my glovebox 😂

My last case for this year: V2 Caudabe Synthesis. They sent this one out as a replacement for a Sheath with the MagSafe indent issue. This copy has improved buttons over my earlier one. The power button is good, the volume buttons are OK, the Action button is meh. Definitely an improvement though, and I suspect they will loosen up with use as they typically do. What struck me again about this case is the unreal fit; so good, at least on par with the Phone Rebel, maybe better. I actually prefer the texture, grip, fit, and dimensions to the Sheath, so I'll be keeping this one.

How do you feel about using TORRASs? I'm also thinking about changing another screen protecter for my phone soon. Or someone can explain to me the pros and cons of WSKEN and TORRAS?
I’m using the WSKEN with the earpiece lip and while I’m not the biggest fan of the lip, it’s stopped bothering me. I’ve found this protector to have the best coverage so far. The Torras was a close second for me. See more here. https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...r.2401368/page-53?post=32856497#post-32856497

10 days later, and I have yet to go back to the Apple Sil case. I have zero complaints. It’s holding up really well without any scratches or signs of wear. This case is a must have. Only question is, do I get a second color now or wait for a spring release? I don’t really care much for the other options right now.

Finally got my otterbox lumen aaaaand it’s totally scratched! I guess I’m just gonna return it and buy an apple clear case, everytime I try to get a different clear case than the Apple one something happens 🤦‍♂️

The nudient looks promising but free shipping takes 10 business days and the fast shipping highs up the price so it costs like the Apple one from Amazon (and I obviously prefer buying from Amazon for support, return policy etc…)

The Lumen is a hit and miss. It looks great and has floating buttons. I bought one for the 13 Pro Max and it came with a small mark. The exposed packaging also doesn't help. You can feel the seams on the sides and the corner seams are very sharp. At least it has a Lifetime warranty.
I'd rather buy a Supcase UB Style Mag for 1/3 the price though.

The sides are actually really smooth and I love the feeling in the hand but those scratches when the iPhone is inside the case are really noticeable, the weird thing is that it’s scratched where the case is covered by its packaging.
I didn’t know otterbox had this QC issues so thanks for letting me know, I’m now even more convinced that returning will be the right choice lol

Never heard of Supcase, might look into it thanks

The sides are smooth now? That's a good update from the 13 Pro Max version.
And yeah, mine is the same too. The scratch mark is on the side that is covered by the packaging. Dust probably entered from the open side and grinded against the case and packaging. You can probably get a warranty claim if you wished.

Supcase's cases are pretty good quality despite the low price tag.

I got the white and it’s one of my new favorites.

No matter which case you use, it's gonna get worn over time, in addition to adding bulk + weight.

Having said that, I don't want to go caseless because I drop the phone on occasion (about 1-2 times per month). I have Apple Care, but I've shattered a phone before and replacing it is an inconvenience... even just a scratch or dent may bother me, so I want to avoid those too (and AC won't help with those).

I switched to the Arc Pulse and am very happy with it. It's fairly immune to wear and tear, offers a lot of protection in a minimal footprint, while leaving the buttons and sides of the phone open.

Seems expensive for what it is, but so far it's the best fit for me so I'm fine paying an extra $30. A lot of people are curious about it and think it looks cool. The biggest downside is that not all MagSafe accessories work with it... for instance, the MagSafe Wallet doesn't fit perfectly, so the bottom isn't flush with the phone. MagSafe charging works fine with the Apple charger.

it’s not really a case i know, but i got the arc pulse a week ago and have used it now for like 4 days in a row. i really like it. doesn’t add any weight to the phone. feels really nice to hold phone with the slight bump at the bottom. is real convenient to grip the bottom bar to put in or pull out of my pocket. the iphone pro max is really light and with this i really notice it. i’m a fan.
Are you guys still running it? How is it holding up?

Weird thing about my Caudabe Sheath - got the revised edition late December and have started to see a MagSafe circle show up at the back. Very early but visible. Anyone else having this issue with the revised edition too? Have emailed them but their support has massively degraded over the years and takes them ages to respond.

Yes. Twice. Eventually swapped for a Synthesis.

EDIT: Pro Tip - each time you send an email you get bumped to the back of the queue. In other words, if you keep sending follow ups before they respond they will never see your email and you will remain at the back of the line indefinitely.

Did you pull the trigger on the Arc Pulse?
I was going to but then my Apple silicone came in and it’s been really nice. Not nearly as much of a lint magnet as I remember, doesn’t catch in my pockets, lightweight and feels good in the hand. The lip around the edges also seems to angle inward a bit so it seems to facilitate swipes instead of hindering them. I’m going to stick with the silicone for now and see how it holds up.

What colour silicone did you get? I’ve always found lint a big issue in the past

Apple silicone is best form factor in the business with the chamfered edge.
