If Nomad just gave the people what they want...a Rugged Slim. In the meantime, I do use this case in certain situations. Def gonna be one of my beach/pool vibes case this summer. Color is too good.

YES - a Rugged Slim!! I'd be absolutely all over that. The rugged was so so nearly my favourite case, but it's just a bit too bulky for me. A slim version made from the same materials, with the same buttons etc would smash it for me!!

it's a non issue, its not like a bulge coming out the back lol
Horween Leather is better than the modern.
I’m referring to “feel in the hand” not aesthetics. The beefy bottom lip on the Nomad leather is just too much by at least 3mm.

I returned the Nomad leather and getting a full leather from Ryan London with open bottom.

Based on your posts about feel factor, form etc etc, I think you'll end up returning the RL. It's not the slimmest case in the world.

And depending on how you hold the phone and size of you fingers, that open bottom edge may dig in and be uncomfortable to hold

Yeah 3mm is a killer lol good luck with the open bottom, last one I had dinted the bottom of my phone after a drop, would be a cracked screen theses days.
Ill take old fat bum for my $2.5kaud phone thanks.

On paper the RL is smaller in dimensions than Andar. I understand that a leather will be bigger in dimensions but want slimmest as possible.

monday i got the docartisan wallet / case combo. i know i’m in the minority of those that like wallet cases. eventually they will sell the cases alone without the wallet. the leather case is thin like apple’s former leather, it’s fully enclosed with only an opening for the usb port. metal buttons with felt lining inside. strong magsafe. grippy. the brown is the kind of leather that scuffs and scratches easily. similar to a dbrand leather skin or a normad horween. the killer feature and why i believe this will be on my phone when i eventually upgrade it is the wallet serves as a stand in portrait and landscape orientations. i can place my phone on my desk and have my phone upright to use. i just love this feature. i do have stands but this dual use is terrific imo. the only negative is the buttons are really stiff. they click but the power button especially requires a hard push. my hope is they will get better with use.

How would you compare this to your Vaja case? I was looking at similar designs with the detachable case.

That’s a beauty! 😎 Serious question: do you feel this case provides at least some level of drop protection or do you feel the need to handle your phone as if it was case-less?
I’m never rough with my phone and it’s rare that I drop it. I wanted a caseless feeling without actually being caseless (no AppleCare) & that’s exactly what this case does. I’m putting some faith into the aramid fiber and trusting that it would protect in an occasional fall in my house. If I’m going out, definitely putting on a case that protects all my sides

Edit to say: There is negative lip with my screen protector on. I’m ok with this & put my phone face up. Very minimal case.

The Nomad Sport is a heavy boy, eh? Weighs in at 42g for the PM. You’d never guess it just by looking at it.
At 42g the Sport seems about mid-pack to me. For context, the Symmetry is 44g, the Sheath is 46g, and the Phone Rebel aramid is 54g.

Are Symmetry and Sheath similar? I mean the materials? I like Sheath but I know some people who have a problems with delivery to UK and if Symmetry is similar will be great 😊

That’s interesting that the Sheath is 46g. Not a chance I’d use a case that was 54g, no matter how much I liked it. Maybe I’m just used to cases on the lighter side.

Symmetry is a combination of a hard poly back plate with soft-ish TPU sides and interior. Sheath is one piece molded from a harder TPU with a microfiber interior lining, but with no poly plate or frame. The Synthesis, with its hard back plate, is actually more similar to the Symmetry than the Sheath is.

Just as a side note, the Sheath and Synthesis for the 15PM weigh exactly the same.

Ok thanks! I really want Sheath but no chance to order from USA so I’ll wait if someone from UK post in ebay :)

What phone do you have? I have a couple spares that I won’t use if you wanted one? No charge, just cover postage.
I only have them for 15PM though!

Edit: I have a grey Sheath for 15 Pro too somewhere if you’d like that!
