Garnet Red Sheath. Didn’t think I’d like the color as much but sheesh 🔥

Definitely my favourite.

Took me a while to like the Sheaths this year with the MagSafe imprint, poor buttons and large button slits. But I've learnt to love it again helped by the revisions.

It would be perfect for me if they'd use floating buttons, a bit more front lip and completely solve the MagSafe indent.
Also......the red to be an option from the start!

Finally got my sheath (with action button cutout). Absolutely love this case! I absolutely love the synthesis this year and the sheath just as much. The side thinness offsets the tall height to the case making it super comfortable to hold and it’s not heavy at all since it weight exactly the same as my synthesis.
If you had to choose just one, which one?

The Sheath is #1 overall for me this year. Just like you, it took me awhile to warm up to it for some reason. When Tee did his top 10 cases and put the Sheath at 1 I was like "Are you crazy?" but then after using it for some time, I realized why he did.

As much as I warmed up to the 1st iteration, once I got my hands on the revised version, it made it that much better. The buttons are great, and even though the MagSafe is the same, it is A1 in my book.

Knowing that the MagSafe indent is still there somewhat bothers, but it isn't anything that I absolutely cannot live with. Do I think it should be evident whatsoever? No. But I do believe that most people don't notice it. It doesn't take away from the overall quality of the case IMO.

I wasn't sure I'd be a fan of this Garnet red, but it has definitely grown on me, that's for sure. I'm not sure what color I'd want to see them do next, maybe a light blue color.

Not OP but for me I'd say the Sheath. If you had asked me earlier in the year I probably would've said the Synthesis, but now I'd definitely say Sheath. Solely based off the texture of the cases. The side grips on the Synthesis are nice, but the back being straight plastic, makes the phone feel more slippery IMO.

Some people aren't a fan of the texture of the Sheath, but it works well for me.

The Sheath is a solid case for sure.. I just can’t get used to the gritty texture. I really want to like the case but it’s such a contrast in texture compared to my soft & supple leather cases which I use daily.

I’m preferring the Synthesis, though I did put a MagSafe PopSocket on the back of it. Only thing, I wish that it did have that microfiber lining.

Yeah, I totally get that. If you're used to feel of Leather cases, I can see how the texture of the Sheath would be bothersome. It's interesting just how much everyone's opinions differ when it comes to texture of things (Cases in this instance) Because for me, the texture of the Sheath is very comfortable to hold, but it seems like for a lot of people, it is very uncomfortable to hold.

I am a fan of the Synthesis as well, but just like you with the Sheath, the texture isn't something I can really get used to. I do like the idea of using it with a PopSocket to sort of negate that plastic backplate.

I don't pay any attention to drop test videos because I'll never put my phone in that situation. I don't baby it, but I also don't climb up a 15 foot ladder and drop it for shts and giggles (and views).

Funny enough, I sat my phone on a ladder rung between 12-15 feet up. I was working and my wife called so I had it on speaker phone, forgot it was there and knocked it to the ground. I'm not sure how it landed, but it hit the sidewalk and then bounced into some gravel. Everything is perfect, still loving my Frosty. The camera ring looks like crap though, all chipped up, and now even more so.

I agree the texture is a little rough. I wish someone made a similar case with a better texture but everythign else about the case is perfect. I've dropped my phone many times with no damage. It's thin enough too.

In relation to the new silicone cases that just released I just realised that they actually indirectly match the vanilla iPhone 15 colours (ie the non-black ones)

Hi guys!
I will post a description and picture from seller and will be happy to know your opinion about this!

“ I can slightly feel one of the MagSafe magnets inside of the case (check pics). Functionality not impaired, however I thought I would be open and honest to avoid any aftersale issues.

Otherwise brand new, but due to highlighted minor imperfection no returns to be accepted.

I've had a replacement from Caudabe themselves so there is no warranty remaining on this item.”

Is this can hurt my phone?

It doesn’t really change the opinions of those that have had good experiences with it though does it? You liked it on your black iPhone 12 when you were called Robosan here. I’ve had 2 sheaths now and both have been flawless and protected the phone very well.
You’ve had a 11 and 13 so 2 years behind. Have you had the heavier 15 version with magsafe bulge? 👎

I had an iPhone 11 as a company phone but rarely used it and gave it to my daughter, it had a cheap clear case on it that I did not buy. I never owned an iPhone 13 though, I had a blue iPhone 12 with a Caudabe Sheath case, the same combination you had at the time in different colours.
Each to their own but that’s hideous imo.
I am sure that poster really values your point of view.

You don’t have a 13 max?

Regardless of the faulty action button I returned the Nomad Rugged because I don't think whoever designed this case thought about people using their phones with one hand. It's impossible to hold onto and my palm cramps up after a couple of minutes. And my hands aren't even small. Awful case, overall.

Instead I got the VICSEED Mag Shield which happened to be on sale from German Amazon. It has a frame full of airbags, two outer layers (TPU+PC) + memory-foam inside, overall it's a lot like the Spigen Tough Armor except it doesn't look like ass. Obviously it's heavy and a bit of a fingerprint magnet (yet it doesn't feel slippery and feels good in hand, no sharp edges) and I wish the screen lip was a bit higher (I use a tempered glass screen protector)
