I have no problem with plastic. In fact, most of my cases are made of some form of plastic. My issue with Otterbox is the not-so-subtle greenwashing they’re doing with this product; calling a ~70% polyurethane case “responsible and renewable” is a stretch in my opinion. If it wasn’t for that, along with the fit issues some have noted, it looks like a nice product.

I just got the case from Amazon and I do like the feel of it. However my cases makes a squeaky sound when you press the sides of the case. Does this happen with your case as well?

Mine does that as well and it was random sometimes where I pressed on it.

Things I liked:
- the buttons

Things that were not so good:
- the size. People on here comment about how thin the case is but in true OB style it is very wide. Much wider than an apple FW or silicone case and makes the max too big in my view.
- the fit. It was close to being good but creaked on one side. Same issue I had with an apple FW. Also had the issue of the gap at the charging port. Not a big issue but weird.
- the feel. It was ok but it felt like plastic leather to me. Not really what I expected. Maybe this would have improved with use but I was already a bit put off it.

I prefer thinner cases so perhaps I’m not the target market for this. It wasn’t terrible at all and the buttons were great but given it cost nearly £50 it didn’t offer value for money to me.

Same, I received the case today and mine creaks as well. The case is expensive so it should have this problem imo. Disappointing.
I don't know how these big companies seem to never get cases perfect.
 
Weren't super impressed with the Cactus either, returned mine on day 1.

The case is super uncomfortable to hold for me at least and mine also creaked when gripping the sides, feels very much like a soft plastic rather than a leather feel as well.

Is the nomad magnetic leather back's horween leather supposed to look like this right out of the box? I'm ok with imperfections and natural grain, but I feel like they gave me the "after 100 days" version instead of a new one. Doesn't really show up the best in these pics, but it just looks very dull and worn and I just got it delivered a few hours ago. I'll see what nomad support says.

Far out nearly hit buy on the cactus, you guys have turned me off especially as can't get from amazon free returns here lol

I haven’t pulled the trigger on one of those yet, but you’re right, that definitely already looks like the “after 100 days” wear has set in.

I’d definitely hit them up and let them see the pictures.

Black symmetry your top case? I bought the blue one but it’s kind of loose on the top and easy to pop off for some reason.

Looks like there are two different black symmetry’s for the iPhone 15 pro max on Amazon. I can’t even tell what the difference is.
