Does anyone know if the Totallee glossy line of cases has the buttons covered? I can't tell from the pictures on their site. It looks like the clear (soft) one definitely does as I can see the power button imprinted on the button, but the black one looks like the buttons are covered in the first and last pictures but opened in the other pictures. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Going to try and answer the several questions that were asked about my Element Case Enigma. Additional pictures are below.

First of all the Rally is excellent overall. Fitment is perfect, it feels solid, and is very light.

Put the Enigma on last night and love it so far. To install, you unscrew the top aluminium part, set the phone inside the bottom case, and screw the top section back on. I actually prefer this method from EC as it makes me confident the phone will not slip out and it allows them to make sturdier cases (that don’t have to be flexible to get the phone in). The size is essentially exactly that of an iPhone 8 Plus, but twice as thick.

I wasn’t sure how I would like the different materials, but I see now this is very good. The aluminium front section is a beautiful blue and just looks so sharp. The TPU (or whatever the side/bottom is made of), is rock solid, has pretty decent grip (far better than aluminium alone) and feels great. The leather back also looks sharp and gives a soft, premium feel when you are holding the case. It would put it on the level of the Apple Leather Case in feel, but with more texture which improves grip.

Fitment on the Enigma is perfect. The bottons (also aluminium) click perfectly (and is IMO one of the things that really sets EC apart). The interior buttons have a felt material on them (something previous EC cases didn’t) so I have no worries about the phone buttons being scratched. My case also has zero button play. When I was first installing, I was a little worried about my iCarez 2.5 screen protector interfering in the front cover, but it ended up having no effect and it works perfectly with this case.

Overall, I am very impressed. This is my favorite case since the Sector series for the iPhone 5. Well worth the $100 price tag, which was made even better for me by the free Rally. :)

I got my black Enigma and free Black Rally and agree with everything you stated! I love them both so much I’m going to try and sell allot of my other 6 cases and Focus on only 3 (Enigma- Rally- Apple Leather Case)
I’m tough on my cases and I see the Enigma holding up well
Thanks for your detailed insight! You have excellent taste

I bought the Otterbox Strada in black for the Xs Max and must say that it's my personal "case end game". This is the best case I've ever had, feels great, is sturdy, great drop protection, quality materials used, overall this is my winner.

Yes, the bottons are covered, and are very responsive. I'm very happy with this case.

Thanks for the reply. Are the buttons covered on their entire glossy line or just the clear? As I mentioned, the black and white versions show two pictures with buttons covered and two pictures with buttons opened, so I wasn't sure if they were just using the wrong pictures.

I don't know. I only have the Glossy Clear case for the XS.

I’m sending yet another case back, just got my mini Vader otterbox. While it’s not bad it’s not as good as my slippery suit imo. I can’t get past the way the rubber can be pulled away from the volume and power buttons. Also those buttons aren’t as good feeling as my solidsuit.

So far nothing has beat the solidsuit. It’s just..solid. The only other case I’ve ordered and still waiting on is a mujjo leather, after that I’m for real, truly done.

It’s ironic, I do like the SS but still find it too slippery. I much prefer my Presidio Grip, as I find it handles better and offers similar protection.

I've been looking at that case for a while now, but my one dilemma is that it wouldn't work with the phone mount in my car. One question for you though. Does the case have the automatic screen on and off when you open the flap like in Apple's folio case?

Nice to know that they finally put some felt on those buttons. Sorry I missed the deal with the free case.

I received the Nomad black rugged case that I ordered on Black Friday and it does smell good.

However, it’s too bulky for my preference. It seems slimmer than the cases you guys use and it feels good in the hand but I have Apple Care and don’t need that protection.

I’m currently back in the totallee leather. Which is way to slim for you guys. Haha

The leather in the back is very similar to any inlaid leather. It’s hard to capture the smooth transitions of a full leather case.

It has good grip and flat sides which I liked. But never got a chance to use it in the wild since it felt too protective for me. Which sounds silly I know.

Caudabe screwed me with 2 Sheath cases. Jessica from Caudabe through emails insured me that the blue & green Sheath cases for the Max would have the correct asymmetrical cutouts.

After waiting a month of Sundays for them to arrive they came with the symmetrical cutouts from last years iPhone X.
I don't want this crap for free.

Buyer beware, Jessica's word is worthless.

Sorry to hear about your mishaps with Cauadabe. I’m losing patience with them too.

My synthesis arrived and it had scratches right out of the box. I’ve emailed caudabe to see if this case is scratch prone. Clearly it shouldn’t ship scratched. Hope I don’t have to take forever to get a response.

It feels like it might have a little more cushion than the Sheat h but certainly not as much as the Symmetry which was what I was also considering aa a compromise between the Sheath and the presidio grip.

Back is very slick and sides are pretty grippy but not as good as Presidio grip. Maybe comparable to Sheath but different due to design.

Torn on what to as I wait on caudabe’s response.

I do think the stealth black looks good on my silver XS.

Not sure if I should just RMA and pay the shipping cost to return it to them.

Their customer service sucks and I will never buy another case from them.
I'll throw those 2 Sheath cases on eBay and cut my loses.

Was looking forward to the Synthesis case for the Max but think I'll pass if they ever come out with it.

Whoa, that is bad for right out of the box. My OCD couldn’t handle that after a year.

I’m still right there with ya. Been using my gray speck grip everyday and my solidsuit is there for backup. Got to send back my Mujjo leather. My Mous limitless in CF should be here in a few days.

Any discount codes or anything for the Mous?

Do they offer any faster shipping options?

I got my XS Synthesis a few days ago, and the back came scratched up also, and had some shiny spots. Either they got a bad batch or the back is so easy to scratch that the packaging creates micro scratches. Mine is black and yours is grey so I doubt its the same batch, but I dont know for sure. But yeah, I guess others that like a pretty back, may want to consider another case. I am going to use this one for when I cycle or do other workouts so its not worth asking for a replacement from Caudabe (again).

You and I have had very similar experiences with our Synthesis, and getting 2 of the old Sheath cases instead of a new one. I decided to hold out for a Blue XS Sheath and the wait will be at least another month.

I think Caudabe makes good cases but getting the correct case (Sheath), in "new" condition "Synthesis", just doesn't happen. Caudabe seems willing to send out replacement cases until they get it right, but it's still a test of patience. Most of us have better things to do.

Mobilereviewseh20 for 20% off or they have buy one get 50% off.

I got 2-3 day free shipping but I think you have to spend more than $79 to get that.

Tempted to order the carbon and the leather at 50% off.

With the second case 50% off it won't take the 20% off also.

$82.44 for the carbon & leather cases with Priority Mail.
should I go for it?

That being said if anyone wants to give it a try I’ll sell it for $25 shipped priority USA. It was just over $30 for BF. PM me. In the box still. Paperwork still sealed.
