Wow lesson learned from Simply Carbon Fiber.

It’s just slowed down enough in here I think most are settling in on cases or giving up hope. Those are the only two options, i believe.
That applies to me. I've settled and given up hope. I've given up hope in finding a leather case that covers all four sides but is thinner than the Sheath. As I mentioned before, I thought the Totallee leather would be that case, but only the back is leather and the buttons are exposed. When my Totallee glossy clear (soft) case comes in, I think that is the case I'll settle on. If not, then the Pitaka MagCase (although, I saw a video of someone using the case with the space gray, and the exposed top and bottom looked horrible; it kind of got me scared, but I'm hoping he is careless with his phone).

Welcome to the club. Sold mine on eBay and just cut my loses.

I’ll never order a SCF case as long as I live.

You are not alone. I bought an Apple leather case for my iPhone 8 and it was super slippery. I always had to grip the phone hard to make sure it doesn’t slip out. From online search, kinds sounds like it’s a mixed experience for the grip. I’ve returned mine a long while back. It did smell nice though.

Thanks. It’s good to hear that I’m not alone. It definitely boils down to personal preference I think and I’ve cancelled all my leather case orders. Going with a Silicone case.

I just received my ‘updated’ sheath and it’s no different in terms of the speaker cut outs. Annoying!

really? they are still doing this? is this in Black? they are express shipping me my third Sheath today which is supposed to have the right cutouts. now i'm worried that i will still not have the right one.
[doublepost=1544119857][/doublepost]what do you guys use to return ship cases to manufacturers? USPS? UPS? FedEx?

what is total cost? any recommendations/suggestions to minimize cost but still have tracking?

I would like to unload some of my extra cases on account of just losing my job...anyone interested in a black solidsuit (with green, blue, and black buttons) or the green symmetry let me know in PM.

Sticking with the OG for the meantime...the Ringke Onyx. Hopefully this isn't against the rules...if so, let the hammer fall!

Is it just me or everyone feels that the Apple leather cases are slick as grease. Boy! I tried the Apple Leather case for an iPhone 8 and it's really slippery. The leather case was in use for more than a year now, so it's definitely has to do with the case not been broken in. Maybe it's my hands, I don't know, but have been using Apple Silicone cases and I feel they are much better with regards to grip.

But for my new iPhone, I've already placed an order for both the Sena and Mujjo leather cases and I'm really starting to question my decision. Would all the leather cases have slippery feeling in general? Anyway this can be improved.

The sena does feel better, but mine didn’t have a uniform front lip and I returned it. Currently waiting for a mujjo. The apple cases do get better but it takes a very long time.

So some good news? I got my third Sheath today and it has the right cutouts. However, it has the same problems a my first case, and potentially worse: a noticeable and sharp seam on the bottom. I’ll have to take a file to this one too. I guess the good news is I have experience doing that. :/

So frustrated overall with Caudabe

experience.

We've seen 6 people here get Black XS replacement Sheaths. 1 person got the new/correct one. Now 5 people got the old/wrong one again.

It looks like Derek got his 2nd replacement. It has the right cutouts, but has a quality issue.

I hope they get the Blue XS soon so I can be done. Nice cases, but...

I think I’m onto something that Caudabe changed material or the manufacturer! Read all the posts you see quality control issues and easily scrabble plastics! Something fishy is going on

It’s the XS sheath in black. Waiting to hear back from Caudabe. Least I have a free back up case as I won’t be sending it back. And hopefully get a 3rd in the correct design.

That's too bad to hear about all the XS issues with caudabe, they were spot on with my Max version. I blame apple in the end, seems like most case manufacturers weren't prepared with the proper, exact measurements for these new phones and are either trying to adapt mid-production or just sticking with the original specs and not changing. Hopefully apple will do better the next major phone change and give everyone the exact CORRECT specs right away.

Apple doesn't give anybody any specs prior to the launch except for vendor(s) that will have cases in the Apple stores/online for launch.

Any cases you see available at or close to launch are produced based on leaked/stolen/sold specs.

As you have seen over the past couple of cycles, there has been a surge in brands having product available at launch and this just goes to prove that the control Apple has over the supply chain and their ability to control the product specs has significantly diminished.

Well, however it works it seems like this year there were many more case manufacturers making cases with the wrong specs.

From their site:

We offer easy returns & exchanges for all of our customers worldwide. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs back to us. The Initial FREE shipping charges which we pay on your behalf cost us four dollars and ninety five cents if domestic and twelve dollars if international for the original order are non-refundable. A three dollar restocking fee per product will be charged for any return or exchange which will be taken out of the amount to be returned to you or if exchanging and the difference must be paid.

Probably could be worded better, but clear that they aren't going to assume the cost by saying it is non-refundable.

Mostly for the XS because they all thought it was speced the same as the X. The change to the lens was overlooked by almost all, and most of the leaked docs showed symmetrical speaker grills, hence that issue.

Don’t think my Mous will ever ship. It’s been 5 days and still not processed or shipped

Glad I didn't order any of these. POS company.

Otterbox and UAG had the correct specs at launch.
