From their site:

We offer easy returns & exchanges for all of our customers worldwide. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs back to us. The Initial FREE shipping charges which we pay on your behalf cost us four dollars and ninety five cents if domestic and twelve dollars if international for the original order are non-refundable. A three dollar restocking fee per product will be charged for any return or exchange which will be taken out of the amount to be returned to you or if exchanging and the difference must be paid.

Probably could be worded better, but clear that they aren't going to assume the cost by saying it is non-refundable.

Mostly for the XS because they all thought it was speced the same as the X. The change to the lens was overlooked by almost all, and most of the leaked docs showed symmetrical speaker grills, hence that issue.

Again, that is why I said it is not as clear on their website. The wording is terrible.

i wrote to Caudabe last night expressing displeasure with yet another defective seam on the Sheath and also responding to my 3+ day query regarding my scratched Synthesis. i suggested to her that i wanted to return my Synthesis for a refund and would just live with the Sheath by filing the sharp edge myself since i already have experience successfully done so with my first Sheath.

Jessica responded promptly this morning apologizing for the situation, saying that the Synthesis is more susceptible to scratches (than the Sheath), and i didn't need to return it since it arrived scratched. yet, what is puzzling is she wanted to offer to replace my Synthesis with a Sheath with proper cutouts and a smooth bottom edge.

as someone suggested a few days back, Caudabe seems content to keep sending out cases until they get it right.

i responded that i want to be refunded for my Synthesis and will live with the 3 Sheaths i have, pretty confident i can file down that bottom edge to make it satisfactorily smooth. hopefully, she will agree to this (i don't care if they take away the shipping charges... i don't think i'd want a replacement Synthesis given the slick back and susceptibility to scratches.)

Nomad now offers their Rugged case with the option to add lenses to it. They might want to be like RhinoShield a bit.

Appears to be a partnership between Nomad and Moment. Interesting see how poor Moment is on the operational side of producing and fulfilling product.

They make a great lens but have a really hard time shipping them. Their cases suck.

Maybe they are just going to stick to the lens business, and partner with other vendors to make cases for their lenses.

So I finally got my correct handed (lefty) Loopy Max last night and mostly love it. It feels protective without being heavy and too bulky. Its definitely more bulky than my Caudabe Sheath..but with the loop, the size and weight of the Loopy Max isn't noticeable to me. The lips are raised high enough for me (about the same as the Sheath or *slightly* higher). The buttons are really responsive. But the highlight is the loop. I've only had a Pop Socket for a few days on my Caudabe Sheath, and already I like the loop much more. For now, I have the loop pretty loose (I can insert both my ring and middle finger about half way). I can "shuffle" the phone a little to reach the top and bottom of the case much easier while having my finger in the loop. The Pop Socket I find it much harder to position my hand securely AND find ways to reach the top and bottom of the phone. But the flexibility of the loop allows me to position and adjust my hand much more easily than the fixed position of the Pop Socket. I can hold the phone in ways not possible without the loop, and put tension on the loop to more securely keep it in place. I bought a white glow in the dark loop..and along with my exchange, they included a green glow in the dark loop..so now I have 2 glow in the dark loops. In the dark, the glow in the dark really helps me see where the phone is (provided its been "charged").

The one nit picky thing for me is the smoothness of the back of the case. So far I don't have any finger prints on the back.. If I don't have my finger secure in the loop..or if I hold the phone without using the loop, I have to make sure I have a good grip on the side. If I can have the texture of the Caudabe Sheath combined with the loop, it'll be prefect. I supposed I could poke 2 holes in my Sheath and put the loop in there..but I won't. :p

I forgot..the other negative is with the loop on the back..its impossible to lay the phone completely flat on the back. I'll see how I'll adjust to this over time..but so far its not bothering me.

It was kinda strange that about a week ago when I got my first Loopy Max (right handed version by mistake), I had a lot of buyer's remorse. But a week later (and with the left handed case), I love the case now. Now sure what happened..maybe its like the "headphone burn-in time".. ;)

But overall, so far with a bit less than 24 hours with the Loopy Max, I love the case. I love my Sheath too, but for now I'll be keeping the Loopy Max on for the versatility of the case.

I agree with this so much.

I may have missed it, but for those Loopy fans out there, have you considered this:

https://phoneloops.com

you can then use any case you want... a couple of my friends are huge fans of these loops. i have yet to try them myself, but i can see the lure. yet, i think not being able to lie it flat would bother me...i'm too OCD

in spite of my problems with Caudabe, i still keep coming back to the Sheath. i plan to file down the asymmetric cutout case and hopefully i can get it smooth like my first case. i'm not sure it's my imagination or not, but i swear that this new case is grippier than my first one. i'm not sure if the Sheath gets a little smoother in time or not...it's not that my first Sheath isn't still grippy... it just seems moving from it to my new one, i've noticed this 3rd case is grippier.

also, i have to confess that i now see the perspective of having symmetric cutouts might be preferable to asymmetric cutouts on the bottom, even if Apple didn't design the XS with symmetry in mind.

Now, this loop thing looks interesting to me. It more manly, than the loop, to me. Sorry I don’t mean that the way it sounds.

But anyway the designs are cool. I like the starts on the flag version. I wonder how easy or practical it is using. The loop def looks easier to use as it’s already the loop. This loop looks like it may take two hands to use most of the time.

I used the PhoneLoops things in past; didn’t like nearly as much as loopy myself.

Phone loops looks interesting. Also to me, seems like 2 hands are needed to get the hand into the loop..kinda like need 2 hands to get the Pop Sockets started. Think MobileReviewsEh mentioned too that one advantage of the Loopy is that it’s always ready to use one handed. Drawback is wireless charging is pretty much impossible and can’t lay the phone flat on the back..

Right now, I’m getting accustomed to putting the phone in my pocket one handed while my finger is in the loop... But boy..kinda wish I just bit the bullet and got the Loopy for my iPhone 6 Plus.

May give some of the phone loops a go. My kids want to try them and they are cheap and have some cool designs. What a simple idea.

Words not necessary. Luxurious loopy.
