Which case will you be getting for your new XS/XS Max? [MERGED]

I’ve been using Peel cases for years and love that they add no bulk, but not great if you drop your phone. I just ordered a clear one for my XS Max.

Which speck? I had the presidio grip for my X. Nice case definitely felt protective. A little gripoy in the pockets depending on what type of pants I had in but not that bad. Great case

How’s the back side of the case? I’m really interested in getting this case because I’m going to Mexico next week and need something sturdier than the leather case. But I’ve always disliked cases with a clear plastic back because of scratches/smudges. My hands sweat a little.

So far so good. I'm not a big fan of clear cases for the same reason but wanted to show off the gold. no scratches and no dust getting in the back of the case (which was problematic in previous clear cases).

I got my Platinum D3O and Sena cases and really like them both. Cutout on both is big enough for the slightly bigger camera on the XS since they were made for the X. Got the Platinum on eBay for $7 instead of $30 from Best Buy and the Sena for $40 from Amazon (didn’t like how my Midnight Blue Apple Leather case wore on my 7). Still waiting on the knockoff ElementCase from eBay.

How do you like both cases? Especially how are the buttons on both? I ordered the Sena myself but haven’t gotten it yet.

Does anyone have the new symmetry yet ? If so can you post pics , I’m curious how different it is this year .

This, I have the one from the X last year and have one for my 8+. Absolutely love the symmetry and plan on getting one for the X max when it delivers. My guess would be that it’s the same as the it was for the X last year except blown up to fit the Max. Their site has only limited selections of the Otterbox Symmetry you can order now for the Max, I believe Amazon has a few as well.

I bought the Apple leather case today, blue. It is a tad slippery. Might need to be worn in a little.

They get better with a little time. I usually put just a little leather protectant likentou use on car seats and the moisture helps too.

That’s the case I have. But I don’t have the phone yet because of T-Mobile and UPS.

Should show off the new color and the sides have enough grip.

The Symmetry for the XS Max offers a “new thin design” which means that the rubber portion is now only around the frame of the phone with the back that comes in contact with the glass back of the phone being made of a hard plastic only. The buttons are also hard plastic that is set into the rubber. I tried to put it on my phone just to see, but it seemed to require way more force than the one I have for my 7 plus. The one for the 5.8” now comes in a new thin design also, but they are still selling the old design. I decided to return the one I ordered for my xs max.

Just wondering, are the speaker holes symmetrical or cut out correctly for the new design (four holes on the left, so should be smaller).

I took a look at it as well and was not impressed for the max. I didn’t like the idea of the hard plastic directly touching the glass.

nice set up, was planning to get one for the missus but it only ships in 15 business days. Went for the Ryokosy for now.
