iOS 7 and Final Cut Pro X? Are you high?

Someone has quite the dumb definition of "worst." People wouldn't be upgrading to iOS 7 in droves if it was that bad -- see original Maps debacle and following "here are other maps apps that our competitors sell" -- versus overpriced products that didn't sell well.

I didn't own most of the things in the list, but I used the hockey puck mouse at work once. That was pretty awful.

iOS 7 has got good adoption because it was FORCED on users with no possibility to downgrade. Windows ME, Vista and 8 just didn't have the chance to reap the benefits of such brute upgrade schemes.

I think people would be downgrading back to iOS 6 in droves ... if they could. I know I would. I feel like 7 ruined my iPhone 4 and am seriously considering a non-Apple phone soon.

That said, there's no way it's the "worst ever". I would give that distinction to the Apple III or perhaps the puck mouse.

No it wasn't, people could choose not to upgrade. There's still plenty of iPhone users rocking with iOS 6
A user can still freely use iOS 6 until:
- he needs to restore/hard reset the device;
- he has apps that are no longer compatible with iOS 6;
- he stops tolerating the reminders about the upgrade.

That's a rarity, I've never done a hard reset. I also seem to recall that you can do a reset with needing to download the newer version of iOS, though I admit I'm not sure about that.

That goes with any operating system, windows, OSX Android and its not really making you upgrade

he stops tolerating the reminders about the upgrade.
a minor annoyance at worst.

Again people can easily stay on iOS 6 for as long as they want - like any phone or computer they're better off upgrading to take advantage more the features and compatibility with the applications but if they choose not too, they can.

OS 7 was not bad, OS 8 was.

I must be old because I didn't see the (i) in there.

Yup, iOS 7 ruined my phone and I bought an HTC one mini

Not making a real 4 button, much less 2 button mouse is a real puzzler from this tech giant.

Not really. Apple has prided itself on its one-button mouse since day one. The original Xerox PARC machine used a three button mouse, with various button combinations used to achieve different effects (eg press one button to start a selection, another to complete it). Apple refined it all down to one.

And their modern mice and trackpads can, for the most part, replicate the functionality of a four button mouse.

They suck for gaming and indicate Apple's lack of interest in that department imo.

Lots of votes here because of personal dislikes, or because a product from 20 years ago isn't close to one from today. Like the Quicktake camera, which was surely not very good, but at the time you couldn't buy anything better. And it did what Apple said it would do.

Worst product ever is Apple's tape backup drive. It came with 38.5 MB tapes. The Macs at the time came with 40 MB hard drives. Which means it wasn't possible to backup your hard drive onto one tape, and backing up to two tapes was incredibly hard. Best to do was partitioning your hard drive and throw away the 1.5 MB that caused the problem.

Getting files back from that backup drive was virtually impossible. And that is after all the purpose of a backup drive. It's ancient history, but it was most definitely Apple's worst product ever.
