-Why does everyone hate on iOS 7? Ive never had any issues with it and I loved it.
-Early OS X was great, it was reliable and fast and full of great features.
-Final Cut Pro X? Why is that even an option? Final Cut Pro X is great.
-The USB Mouse is a great mouse, I love it to this day.
-The Retina MacBook Pro is a very powerful and beautiful laptop!
-The Mac Pro looks good and its the fastest Mac ever, don't be a hater.
-The iPod shuffle works fine.
-The Magic Trackpad is a nice thing if you like a trackpad instead of a mouse.
-OS X 10.7 Lion was a good OS, reliable and good looking. I use it on my Mac Pro and it runs great.
-iWork is the best office software I've ever used.
-The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was and is a beautiful machine and was far ahead for its time despite the price.
Cheers, Adam
Just because you liked those items doesn't mean everyone does. the hockey puck mouse has been long derided as an awful product for years. When FCPX was rolled out, it was a shell of its former self with little functionality - the complaints were well placed and deserved, the MacPro looks nice but for professionals that need such a machine it lacks expandability which is the sole reason for buying such an expensive machine.

Many people blindly defend apple even though some of their products land with a thud. Personally, I like what they have to offer but I don't buy a product just because of the fruit logo but rather how well it servers my needs and do I get value for my dollar. Example, why buy a MBP for over 2,000 if its only going to last 3 years. I can spend a fraction of that for a windows laptop, similar components and get 3 years out of it.

I just did that. I wanted 15" laptop, I could go with the rMBP or buy something "outside" of Apple. The rMBP with a dedicated graphics card is 2851€ in Portugal and has 2 year warranty. I got an ASUS laptop, with a similar performing processor, same RAM and a better graphics card with twice the memory. Sure the screen is not retina and the storage is 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD (it's not Flash Storage), but I never had an HD Screen nor an SSD so, it's still a great upgrade for me.

I paid 1230€ and got 3 years of warranty.

I don't think that what I could get with Apple would justify paying an additional 1600€. Heck, I could get TWO laptops like mine and still save 390€! It's funny, I just realized this as I was making this post...more than double the price...

Anyways...sorry for going off topic. I'm surprised no one mentioned the Mac Cube. I always heard it was a flop. Personally I voted other for OSX Lion and the current Mac Mini. The whole AntennaGate issue with the iPhone 4 is also worth mentioning. And of course, the Pippin and Ping!

I think the the G4 Cube holds a special place for Apple Fans. While it was some what derided when it first was released. It had a very vocal minority of those people who loved the machine (I count myself as one of them).

The funny thing is, the Mac Mini is what the G4 cube was supposed to be, but apple erred in a number of ways and in some ways they were ahead of the times with such a design. People weren't ready yet.

I thought the G4 Cube could have been that "desktop mid-tower" people wanted from Apple. Upgradeable, priced well, and powerful "enough." It launched with a 450MHz G4 processor, 64MB of RAM, 20GB hard drive, and Rage graphics card for $1,799! Way too expensive. The 400Mhz PowerMac G4 had the same specs and was only $1,599. The G4 Cube should've been like a 350MHz G4, 15GB hard drive, 64MB RAM, and the Rage card for $1,299 then it may have been a success.

To answer the original question:

- On the list that mouse was the worst. OS X also didn't become great til Jaguar.

- Other: Those "Switcher" commercials back in the early 2000s. I guess not technically a "product" but it's one of the worst things of the Steve Jobs era. They literally gave no reason to switch besides "Please buy a Mac, please?" and of course the terrible acting and of course, the legendary drugged up teenager. I also remember the website and only 2 of the "10 reasons to switch" were actual reasons for switching (stability and lack of viruses). The rest were "Yeah the Mac can do everything a PC can! But nothing more!"

That's the thing, apple really failed at position this product correctly, it was over priced and targeted to the wrong audience.

Yes, I agree the Cube wasn't treated quite right. Priced like a tower, but lacking the expandability and upgradability that Power Mac users wanted. It sure is a stylish Mac though, a perfect display piece.
Next year you will be able to add the Apple Watch to the list.
Unfortunately I don't think polls can be edited, so I'll have to vote other. ;)

I was not a fan of a few of the powerbooks after the 170, 190. The 520c was one of them, I don't remember why now. I only used it as a loaner from the company a few times, so it was a transient dislike.

Had some problems with using zip drive cartridges in the bay of the 3400c powerbook, so that's another one eventually made my bad list, although otherwise I liked that machine. It didn't update the zip's directory sometimes upon doing a proper eject. Naturally that can make one unhappy. It might not have been an Apple issue, the zip gig was third party I believe.

Towards the end of the 68030 machines I thought the iisi was a giant leap backwards. I had loved the iici, iicx, iifx which I had used at work. They were very pricey or I would have loved one at home too. Then at work they gave some guy who worked for me a iisi, I tried it out after the tech unboxed it. Hmm. I thought this: "you know what if they make me take one of these things, I will quit." It was like four grand cheaper than the iifx, etc. models, and it showed.

I'm not blindly defending anything. I've used each of the products I'm defending so I know they are good.

I love the magic mouse, Its the best mouse I've ever used and a great accessory for a Mac.
Cheers,
Adam

I am intrigued to know what you think could be described as the worst ever Apple Product?

I don't really have enough expierence to answer this, I am one of these Apple users everyone seems to hate, got an iPhone and ended up buying a Macbook etc.

Although I remember buying my first Macbook in 08 and I felt at that time everything did "just work" and you can see that isn't the case these days.

Most of what the OP has in the poll were very good products. He/she should be ashamed for thinking some of those are bad. FCPX and iOS7 were and still are amazing products for example.

The worst Apple product ever digitally was Ping. Hardware wise, Pippin comes to mind as goes the Power Mac G4 Cube.

I would say iTunes now, but it was actually pretty good, prior to all of the iOS stuff being merged into it.

Granted, I haven't used iTunes for windows in a very long time, at least use it to do items. I have a windows box that runs as my iTunes head for ATV and homesharing, but yeah, as of late. It is big and rather cumbersome to navigate through.
