I went with a 64GB and have only about 9GB available now, that's after putting all of my music, photos, 30 TV shows, and 14 movies. Pretty good if you ask me lol.

16 gigs here - I have an 8 gig iPhone that isn't completely full (and I have a LOT of music, photos and apps on there), so I think 16 should be fine for me, considering I won't have much music on it (maybe 20-30 of my favorites), probably no movies (I'll be streaming with Netflix), a few favorite photos, and mostly it will have apps/data and books.

Maybe in 1 or 2 years, I might upgrade to 32, if I find I'm using it a lot more than I thought :)

16gig saving $ for apps

Had mine a whole 9mins now woo lol

Surprised on the fast setup, took about 30 seconds

I got the 32... I think 16 would've been enough for awhile, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Got 32gb, but only because they were out of 64GB (and got bad info on the phone from an Apple Store employee). Thinking of trying to go back and exchange it for the 64GB model. I think people are going to be surprised how fast they can fill these things up.

Had all intentions to just get the 16gb as I will mostly use this as a web browser and for apps around the house, and my music collection is ~100gb so would have to manage the library anyway, but impulsed to the 32gb. Even a modest amount of Music+Videos+Photos+Apps can fill things up quick!

64gb crossed my mind, but factoring in a dock and sales tax, I just couldn't bring myself to spend $800...

16 here. It was hard enough justifying the purchasae without adding an additional $100-200 for extra storage. I'll just stream my content with Air Video when it finally gets approved :D

32 all the way! Need some room for movies, pics, and music.. as well as apps. Flexibility and long term use are key for me. And I like the Sling player, and I believe it takes up 7mb on the iphone.. over 1/2 of what I'd have on a 16!

64 cuz my 23 gig iPhone is 75% full and I have no idea what kinds of additional things like movies and TV shows I'll put on this thing.

I'm debating between 32gb and 64gb when the 3G lands, but I'll probably go 64gb.

So it's been a week since this thread. Any updates, regrets, affirmations?

I bought the 16GB version only because my music library is 145GB. My choice is have some of my library missing, or a lot of my library missing. However, Simplify Media on my iPhone works damn well so I have all my tunes wherever i go.. I'm having no regrets, and I'm glad they didn't cripple the 16GB hardware specs to push folks to a pricier model.

Isn't Simplify Media going to be halting their service? If so, is there another program/service that does the same to stream my existing MP3 library from my home server PC?

16GB is all I need. Music is already on my iPhone or can bee streamed. WHy store it on my iPad. With LogMeIn, I can access my iMac remotely, so why store much on my iPad. All I need to store is book or whatever will entertain me on the airplane!:D

64 because I always get the highest capacity device available. Purchase price is higher but resale value is also higher.

Picked mine up at the walden galleria on launch day. I'm from Toronto eh.

I ordered the 16GB iPad. I don't anticipate needing more than that as I don't keep videos on my devices. My only minor concern is that some games can take a lot of space and I'll run out eventually.

debating the 16 or 32, money is tight so I might go 16, but im worried it may fill up... does anyone know how big the average ebook is, and are most apps (non 3d games) more or less than 100 megs? I dont plan on putting very much music, pics, or vids on it, and depending on what comes in V.2 I will most likely upgrade then...

on a side note.. I have an acquaintance who works for apple (I have NO idea what he does for them other than that he is a programmer) who has said to wait for V.2 because there will be several must have new features... he did not say anymore than that... I was thinking of waiting to get it when it comes but since no one knows if it will be 6 months or a year, Im just way too impatient for that...

after over a week of use, I am very happy I opted for the 32 gig version! Its nice to have breathing room and I can already see that the 16 gig would have been a bit tight.

I've heard that when you get the 16gb home, it's actually 14gb.

What are the actual useable sizes of the 32gb and 64gb models?

I couldn't decide between the 16GB & the 32GB, but I ended up choosing the 16GB. I really don't have that much stuff I would need to store. I have a 32GB iPhone and I am only using just over 6GB now.

So far, the 16GB has been the best choice for me.

Started with 32gb, switched out right away to 64gb. Might not need it, but it was keeping me up at night. Also got applecare. I love this thing so much I want it protected.
