I was going to just get the 16gb but I thought the extra $100 to get the 32gb was a better choice.

I got the 16 wi-fi which has been good for storage, I just switch out movies and song lists but am thinking about the 3g when it comes out. Would be so much more useful to be able to use it anywhere when I am on the go.

I Decided to order the 64 GB version. I wanted all the space I can get so I will not have to run out of space so soon. It will save on putting on movies and taking off too often. This way I can leave more content on the iPad without worrying of filling up the iPad. So I went all out!!!

I agree with the poster that talked about their pricing model. 16GB I can understand if it's enough, but I don't understand 32GB at all. To pay $100 for another 16GB but not pay $100 in addition for another 32GB is a bit puzzling.

Also, I don't think seeing how full your iPhone is is a good way to look at iPad capacity. That would imply you are going to use your iPad just like your iPhone, I don't have any movies on my iPhone but I certainly will on my iPad.

I thought long and hard about it and figured 16GB is as much as I'd ever need, so I bought the 32GB!

Apple would have been cooler to release two WiFi models:
$499 32GB
$599 64GB

Or if they had to do the 16GB they could have gone with:
$499 (16GB), $549 (32GB), and $599 (64GB)

But its first gen...

I ordered a 64GB one. I went with low storage to save $$ on the original iphone and regretted it. :/ Decided to go all out since I'd actually be playing video on this thing! I've run out of space on my 16GB iphone so I can see space filling up quicker.

Thats what happened to me on my first iPod Touch. So I decided to go all out on the iPad. I will not regret it this time. It is better to have more than enough than not enough any day.

Apple loves this way of thinking. For me, I'm on a tight budget. Without being too constrained, the 32gb model works best because I can put a lot of data on my iPad. Then, I can use the $100 I didn't spend on apps and accessories.

While on my treadmill, along with a gooseneck stand, I watch movies on my iPhone. It works great. Also, I believe the iPhone does give a good view of how much storage one would use. That doesn't mean that you will put the same data on both. For my iPad, I will use more for videos, books, and apps; on my iPhone, I use more for music.

I always refuse the lower capacity models as I fill them up too quickly, so if I were buying one, I'd go for either 32 or 64. 16 would be far too small for me

16gb 3g

I have 300GB+ of music, TV shows, movies. Not worth trying to get "some" on the device. Just what I want at the time.

I'll use mostly for reading and some games.

For movies/tv shows. I may have 1 or 2, but with Netflix, it won't be many. Also Air Video for stuff I have ripped at home.

As far as music ... I've got Pandora/Last.fm. I may keep certain playlists/artists on their at all times.

Hopefully developers will be mindful of their app size.

3g 64

Was stuck on 32 and decided what the hec - only a hundred bucks more. Probabaly never ever need 64 but it is now a done deal!

I don't know how to do polls. Can we get a poll that distinguishes between wifi-only and wifi+3G, please?

Wifi/16
Wifi/32
Wifi/64
Wifi+3G/16
Wifi+3G/32
Wifi+3G/64

I am curious and I think others would be too.

32, and I usually max out memory and am not price-sensitive. I just doubted I'd need more than 16, so to be conservative, I went up one size to 32 just in case.

I am using about 10gb right now. I could fill up 32gb or 64gb if I wanted to, but it would be with stuff that's useless on an iPad, eg my entire music library, a bunch of episodes of Mad Men I've already watched.

16GB. I have all the music, songs, and apps I want on there and still have 5GB left. :)

I originally had the 64GB iPad with WiFi; didn't use it much, and I realized I only used about 5GB of space.

So this time around I went for the 32GB model; costs about the same as the 64GB WiFi; also I fear that I may want to put a few videos on and the 16GB would have been too small. I don't have music or videos on the iPad right now, so only about 5GB is used right now.

I contemplated with the 32 and 64 3G all of yesterday, even made the concierge switch between both models three times after I got in the store before I finally decided on the 64.

I couldn't justify not spending $100 more to get double the capacity. And I plan to use this just like a net book, sans webcam.

And I won't have to worry about hiccuping 3G connections if I do want to stream video - it will already be stored on the device.

I'll be mainly using the iPad for school work (e.g. English essays) but I'll be putting probably quite a lot of iPad native apps and some videos and TV programmes on there. Would I be able to get by with a 16GB iPad?
