Upgrading from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro Max because of the camera. Maybe for the magnets too, and the Gold this year is awesome. HAHA

XS Max to a 12 Pro Max.

I normally upgrade every two years. I use my phone a ton for work and in some ways its my main personal computer (I use it for web browsing, social media, eBooks, music, etc.). I find that I get solid value for trading in every couple of years as the best incentives are usually for 2 generations and newer (this year it’s 3 generations). I might have held off a third year, but there was enough to pull me in with a bigger battery, bigger screen, 5G, better camera, faster processor, MagSafe, extra durability, etc. Plus this year’s incentives didn’t require adding a new line where I believe that was the case the past couple of years.

I like to have the latest and greatest so I upgraded from the iPhone 11 Pro to the iPhone 12 Pro. I’m still bummed Apple forces you to get the max for the better camera, but I think I’ll still be happy with the iPhone 12 Pro.

X. Just seems like 2 to 3 years is a long enough time to wait for something different.

From the X.

Don't really need to, phone is still going strong. But sometimes i just like to get a new gadget. ;)
And i really love the throwback design.

Same here... plus the fact that it’s just $199 after ATT trade... Last time I bought a phone there were no promos.

XS Max to 12 Pro

Upgrading for design, better modem, cameras and slightly smaller phone.

Just looked at battery health.

My X is now at 90%. And the phone advises me to bring it in to service. Really? At 90%?

The Apple battery health results are notoriously inaccurate. I had it showing at 88% and also recommending swapping it. CoconutBattery showed the battery was actually at 56%, so yes, I swapped mine.
Try it out, it’s really handy:

The iPhone 8 Plus to the 12. Seems the obvious choice as I am used to a larger iPhone.

I’m upgrading because I can, not because I need to. The 8 Plus is still a fast and reliable phone and the battery life is still excellent. I’m out of contract so I fancy a new phone and I’m lucky enough to be able to afford one. Other than that, no sensible reasons lol.

I am upgrading from an X. Phone has slowed down recently and the battery life is atrocious. I still enjoy the phone so I am somewhat sad to trade her in.

I want the Qualcomm modem, down sizing a bit from Xs Max, want the night mode for taking pictures. Also someday in my rural area we may actually have 5G!

Coming from an 11. I downgraded from a X with a failing battery because I wanted to save some money last year. I miss OLED more than I thought I would. Plus the 11 feels a little wide and heavy. The 12 is slightly smaller, has OLED, and is lighter. Sold!

Upgrading from a iPhone 6S+ to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I felt it was long enough and the 3 camera system. Looking forward to taking pictures in low light situations.

Going from SE 2020 to Mini. I want to keep that one handed use with a better screen instead of wasted space on those ugly bezels imho. Having said that I will miss Touch ID especially in these days of Corona/masks.

Going from 6S plus to 12 Pro. Intel modem was one key reason for not upgrading to recent models. I’ve been afraid of faceID, especially now with masks. Current phone served me well (and continues to do so) especially after replacing the battery over a year ago, but after 5 years, I feel I deserve something new. I barely use my phone these days, especially working from home all the time, but I like to take nice photos when I travel (remember those days?). It‘s mainly a streaming device for audio in the car and the occasional newsfeed/email read when outside. I’m not into social media, so not on it 20 hrs a day like some folks LOL

I'll be upgrading from the X to the 12 Pro. The X still works really well. The 12 Pro's camera system seems like a huge upgrade for me and is what sold me on the 12 Pro. I'll be passing the X on to a family member who is still using a 6s.

upgrading from 11 pro max for the qualcomm modem and to downsize as i find the size of the pro max to be a bit too much also slightly impatient to wait for the 12 pro max lol but i find myself using my tv or my pc more for consuming content and i dont really take pictures at all really. i would go normal 12 to save the money but the 12 pro comes in graphite so it will match my watch lol am i crazy for spending the extra $ just for a color?

Going to upgrde from a 11 pro max to the 12 pro max. I’m telling everyone it is because of the camera, but in reality I always get the new model

Coming from a (Product)RED iPhone XR 64GB to a Blue iPhone 12 128GB. Driving reason is storage really. The XR was provided by my work and the budget only stretches to the minimum storage.

Which are you going with? I have the X also. Unsure if I want the mini or 12pro. I think the max is too big to carry everyday. I previously had a 7plus and I think it’s even bigger than that was.
