I've been watching a BBC Wales series called The Bench (on Prime), a legal series set in a Welsh magistrate's court. I can't quite put my finger on why I like it so much, but maybe because it's small, doesn't try hard to be dramatic, and the characters are rather endearing.

My SO and I just finished binge-watching "Warrior Nun" over the weekend (3-days for many of us in the States) on Netflix. Now we have to eagerly await to see if there will be a 2nd season and when it will arrive. Needless to say, we both enjoyed it. We did not see the twist coming at the end.

We watched the first 3 or 4 episodes yesterday. I tried Hannah, but didn't like it as much, although I'll probably go back to it later.

I've been watching the first 2 seasons of Yellowstone. I missed them when they first aired. Also have been re-watching Sopranos and True Blood. Gandolfini was an incredible actor.

I saw your post and checked out Warrior Nun yesterday and watched the first 3 episodes. Really like it and looking forward to seeing the rest!!

binge watching " the originals". so far I am hooked, it's only 5 seasons but there are about 20 episodes per season

That looks like the type of show that my wife and daughter would enjoy (I'm not a vampire fan although I did like the original "Dark Shadows"). On what service were you watching it?

Watching another BBC One Wales crime series on Prime Video called Hidden. The original version was in Welsh, but this version is bilingual with subtitles when Welsh is spoken (a language I love to listen to). Sian Reese-Williams as the lead DI is quite good. It was filmed in Bangor and Snowdonia. I enjoy the the strikingly beautiful landscape as much as the dark and creepy plot.

OK, I am trying to "juggle" 3 of them:

1. HBO's series Perry Mason. Watched episode 1, and it is good. I of course like Matthew Rhys, as he did such a fantastic job as Philip in "The Americans".

2. Yellowstone. Watched the first episode of Season 1, and I can see why it is so well liked, and so highly rated. Definitely a long episode 1, and I'll try and watch episode 2 tonight.

3. Signal, a Korean drama on Netflix. Have watched the first 2 episodes, and it has me hooked!

Not exactly binging, but sure keeps me entertained. I will certainly need to try and finish all of them within the next 2 1/2 months (might be difficult with Yellowstone), as it looks like Season 3 of Cobra Kai will be appearing on Netflix soon:

Of course, I will have to re-watch Seasons 1 & 2, but at least the episodes are short (30 minutes each). But I have been "salivating" for Season 3.

Iron Fist (Netflix).
I share this view: "Despite some promising moments, Iron Fist is weighed down by an absence of momentum and originality". (Metacritic)
Season 2 was SIGNIFICANTLY better... unfortunately, all the Marvel shows on Netflix have been canceled by Disney - and none of them were given a proper "ending."

Rewatching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

It ended up being a really good show, and it could be argued that the show is better than most of the movies. It really is a shame that it ended unfinished, and in a cliff hanger.

I have watched it all the way through a few times before, this is probably the fourth or fifth viewing.

Also enjoyed that series. But like many I enjoy, it didn’t get finished. I hate that!

I rewatched The Americans from the beginning, and unlike some shows, which struggle to find their footing in the early going, before finding a solid direction, it's clear what the show wanted to explore from the start, to the end, which it nailed.

I gave up on the Welsh series Hidden; it was just too dark. Tonight I watched two episodes of Derek Bannon's Incredible Homes (on Prime), one in Australia and the second in Sweden. I'm positively floored by what I saw and will need to watch again before moving on to more episodes.

Your remarks are right on the money! I have watched The Americans at least 3 times, and I still enjoyed it! The acting was excellent by so many folks, with of course the primary characters being Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys). But there were so many others, and it's difficult to say who was the best. Two who come to mind are 1) Margo Martingale, and 2) Frank Langella. They both played handlers for the Jennings. But then one of the main characters was Stan Beeman, played so wonderfully by Noah Emmerich.

As for the story line, yes, it definitely keeps one glued to their seat. I actually was hoping for a spinoff series, in which the lives of their children, Paige and Henry, were followed.

I've always believed that the best television series was Fargo - Season 1, and #2 was a tie between Breaking Bad and The Americans.
