Just finished “The Flight Attendant” on HBOMax.

Also last night watched the first part of the miniseries on HBOMax about Tiger Woods
Been watching Flight attendant. I'd give it around a 5/10.

However just finished the last season of Fringe and I can't recommend it enough!

Was The Flight Attendant a one season thing? Seems like the may have left it open to a season 2, but haven’t heard anything. Could be just as well, I suppose.

EDIT: Season 2 is coming, probably not until spring, 2022.

Just finished up “Endeavor” on Amazon Prime. The first 6 seasons were part of the Prime subscription so no addition cost. The 7th and latest season has only 3 longish episodes and first was available at an additional fee. I passed on it then and was pleasantly surprised to see it is now included at no cost add. Season 8 is beginning now though not yet on Prime, at least not for no added cost.

I like this UK-based police procedural in general, but the coroner’s pithy quips are alone worthy of watching.
I've done the same. It's engaging and well produced with some good acting. It's set in the 60s and I wonder if being older and remembering those days vaguely helps. Yes, people used to smoke that much. I think non-Brits should have subtitles on and interpreting British slang is still challenging.

It's also "Endeavour."

First time watching "Parks and Rec" and omg, it is so awesome. ;)

I'm on season 5 and it makes me sad, as there's only seven...

No. Just no...
Nope nope nope...

?

My kids started watching it and dragged me into it. Crazy biologists travel around the world to find various critters to sting/bite them and they rank the pain on a scale. I had to cover my eyes the first couple shows. Now it’s perversely entertaining, you know, like getting tattoos.

Nothing like watching a goliath birdeater tarantula sink its fangs into a guy’s arm. Up close and in slo-mo.

Started Suburra on Netflix.

Suburra: Blood on Rome

Excellent series on organised crime it includes: Roma (gypsies), local municipal politicians, the Sicilian and local Mafia and the Vatican all vying for power and real estate on the Ostia coast.

Feeding my weeb side now that part 1 of the final season of Attack on Titan is done with Demon Slayer and a golden oldie - Space Battleship Yamato 2199.

Suburra- Blood on Rome, the 2020 tv series was quite OK. There is also the 2015 movie just called Suburra. It was OK too. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4025514/

if you liked Suburra, you should watch the 5 seasons of Gomorrah.

I‘ve just watched the 3 seasons of Narcos and the 2 seasons of Narcos-Mexico. They’re far superior to Italian stuff which comes off a bit soap operaish to me. Narcos just had a far better narrative. Tried the Mexican series El Chapo on Netflix, but after a excellent introduction only lasted a few minutes. It seemed like full on soap opera to me.

Watched a season of Queen of the South, but that was very much substandard. Mexicans speaking English? no thanks.

Again somewhat off topic as they‘re movies, but Sicaro, Sicaro-Day of Salado and Zero Zero Zero were all quite excellent.

I‘ve been alternating the organised crime stuff with episodes of Bojack Horseman.

I'm so happy you are enjoying Parks and Rec. It's my favorite sitcom ever, mainly because it was hilarious and you rooted for these characters. Not sure where you are in Season 5 but there is a moment that was so unexpectedly perfect, it actually made me cry.

I've just finished watching INFORMER, on Amazon Prime, a thriller about a guy who gets drawn into working as an informer for a British counter-inteligence unit in London.....1 season, 6 episodes and well worth it

That was quite good wasn’t it? Those British mini series can be quite engrossing.

I just rewatched The Night Manager, the John Le Carre novel based mini series starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. This would have to be the best British mini series in my opinion.

As an aside, I discovered recently that I could rewatch tv series’ and movies that I have watched before and still enjoy them simply because I cannot remember watching them the first time. I’m in my mid sixties so it’s a bit of a worry that these memory lapses are an early symptom of dementia.
