I couldn't get the past the first episode. Sorry the parent in me just kept saying, "Where TF are her parents?"

It's the same feeling I get with a lot of the Nickelodeon shows where the kids are really smart and the parents are completely clueless and useless.
Her parents are pretty heavily written into the show as the season goes on, and even more so in the second season.

I'd recommend you keep going, good family vibes show up in later episodes. My wife and I both really enjoyed the show, partially because it's shot in an area I lived much of my early years. (Steveston and Ladner B.C.)

I started watching it when Season 1 was airing on NBC and then dropped it because I felt that the show was encroaching too much on the plot and themes of Lost, and having experienced Lost already, I didn't need another show with the same themes and premise...
Hm, feels more like The 4400 than Lost, doesn’t it? I get the plane thing, but felt a massive 4400 vibe watching it. Glad it gets a proper ending.
I've been so surprised at how much I'm enjoying this show
Really enjoyed season 1 and 2. If anything, it feels a little odd in modern times. Would have worked much better in the 80s/90s. But still a great show. Will rewatch S1 and S2 once S3 hits.

I thought Devito was with them from S2 until now? Also i can skip an episode if I do not like it because I have to watch it to see if I like it.

I think its a bit of a shame that they run for 14 years, I mean no matter how good you are after season 7 or 8 you are probably just doing it for the money. I doubt they have the creative power to put even more content of the same show out there.

Yeah, S2 onward. But unlike other shows with long runs I've simply lost interest in, at least it will accommodate a casual watching pattern without losing out on anything. The principals all have other work, so it's not like they're desperately prolong it it to eek out a living, so they come and go as well.

I just finished watching the first season of 24. Really enjoyed it.

Later seasons had their moments, but the first was the most authentic in terms of sticking to the premise, and not veering toward stepping over the line into silliness, or eventually having that funny smell like something past its expiration date. The attempted spinoff without Kiefer can be skipped entirely.

idk, 14 seasons seems they are prolonging it on purpose.

24 was a revolutionary idea for its time I must have to say, people really forgot how life was back then. This kind of stuff was pretty exciting.

Just found Absentia on Amazon Prime. Plenty of action, fight scenes, violence and drug taking. Follow the story of a kidnapped, presumed dead female FBI agent who turns up after six years. Three seasons, but ends looking like the story will continue in season four. Unfortunately Amazon decided not to go ahead with it and cancelled the show.

Re-watching Rockford Files and watching Star Trek TNG from the start (I never saw the early episodes). I probably watched all of the Rockford Files episodes when they first aired but I was never a fan of Captain Picard before and never knew the history of the characters.

I remember my parents watching Rockford Files when I was young... (This would have been when the show was still on--or at the least close to that time.) I had no interest then--I was young--but I really liked the show later. The local library (where I get my DVDs--love the daily price of $0 LOL) unfortunately doesn't have Rockford Files any more. Maybe time to drop a purchase request hint!

I'm not exactly binging on anything now, but I have been watching off and on a set of the second half of the first year of Perry Mason (1950s/1960s version with Raymond Burr). I've seen all the shows on these DVDs before--many times, probably.
