Finished Star Trek Picard season 2. It's too long. It felt boring at times, they could have done 5 episodes and it would have been enough. But I really, really enjoyed the last episode. It reminded me so much about good old Star Trek.
There were two things that I absolutely loved...
Picard giving Q a hug before he died. He did the whole thing for Picard, to help him, he cared about him. Q always came over as the bad guy, very annoying, so this was a little different. They said goodbye as friends and it only took them 35 years. I've never been a Q fan, never liked him. After 35 years I have to say, I'm going to miss him.
The second thing I really loved... Wesley or rather the traveler. Wow, just wow. Finally we got a glimpse what Wesley did since he left in TNG season 7. I'm going to ignore his appearance in Nemesis. Been wondering if/when we would see him, had hope for season 3, but Wheaton said he's not going to join the crew for season 3. So this was very welcome, real shame they didn't let him talk the Picard. That would have been a nice touch. But his role and what he / the travellers do reaches all the way back to Gary Seven from TOS. That episode aired over 50 years ago. I hope we get a little more of him in season 4 or 5 or...
That being said. I started Star Trek Strange New Worlds. Why exactly do we need this? It starts after the events of Discovery travelling to the future. I get it, people freaked out when we got Pike in Discovery, but a new series to bring him back? And what's with Spock looking like he's wearing a wig? For some reason he looks worse and older than young Leonard Nimoy. Also, we can't do without the name Kirk? Even if it's Samuel Kirk, which ironically was played by Shatner with a fake beard in TOS, but only as a dead character. I'm not sure where this is going, but so far it seems a little boring. Time will tell.
Well, after finding out you're cloned, have been an experiment, you were contacted by a "god" from the future, received a magic cure delivered by time travel and finally escaped a prison, I guess a guy walking into your life and telling you there's a higher calling for you is something not too odd.Shut up Wesley! One odd thing about the scene was, she seemed easy to convince on who he was. Me, I would have been like "who is this nutbag?" Show me something, like some transporter action to convince me, space boy.
It's already wrapped and in post now.I understand they are filming the last season of Picard now.
Yes, I get the return to episodic. But why with the Enterprise and Pike (and Spock and Uhura)? They could have gone back to the beginning, between First Contact and Enterprise or between Enterprise and TOS or after Voyager or to the distant future, maybe 29th century before the Burn. For me it just feels like we're stuck, getting more of things we already had decades ago. Anyway, gonna watch episode 2 later.Strange New Worlds is needed because it drops the season long story arcs and goes back to Star Trek's roots - single episodic TV, something fans have been wanting for a long time. I like Anson Mount as Pike.
When was Blacklist ever gone? I don't think it's getting better again, but I have to catch up a few weeks/episodes.I see The Blacklist is back. Like a number of shows I've enjoyed, I feel this one isn't getting better with each new season. Hope it gets back to its best.

Wasn't crazy about the ending of the ending if you get what I mean.....I was binging on Ozark, but it's all over now. Wow. What a show, I did not see that ending coming. But, I'll refrain from sharing spoilers in here.
Someone is in a new series.....The end of Ozark…is weird for me. It feels it’s not the end. Are they planning something after or is it done on purpose. Doesn’t feel like a conclusion to a story.
For all who liked Ozark..if you have Prime..Watch ' ZeroZeroZero. VERY much worth it and you will be hooked from episode 1! And a very different type of series!Well, Ozarks is all wrapped up. The ending? It’s a bit of a cautionary tale, like the scorpion and the frog. Not a satisfying conclusion, in my mind, but whatever, it made it’s point and I think this is how it ultimately intended to end from the start.
Watch 'ZeroZeroZero' on Prime if you have it...you'll not be disappointed. They could have dragged it out, but they didn’t. And they could have ended it any number of ways. On the other hand, after a good start, I think The 100 went on way too long. The last few seasons were just plain boring, but for some reason I pushed it, several days of my life I’m not getting back.
Once you are 'In' you have a lot of people to 'support'. There is no 'out' for truly organized crime. Plus, want to or not, you produce enemies....many who carry a grudge that can only be settled in one way.Narcos: Mexico S3. Why do I do this to myself? It’s so sad and unnecessary, but it happened and I don’t think the fictionalization is too gratuitous. I hear the numbers some of these guys are pulling in in a month and I’m like, “there, stop there. That’s plenty.” Honestly don‘t understand the mentality of just raging on just to rage on and get killed or arrested.
Just started it myself, I like it too. The cast is very good, I'm not familiar with most of the actors but see that Neve Campbell has one of the lead roles (ex wife #1), and the client suspected of murder was one of the leads in Covert Affairs (I knew he looked familiar). It looks like a very good ensemble cast. The Cisco character, Haller's investigator, has a gravelly voice that it is a bit much but that is about the only small small complaint I would have right now. The actor who is in the Mickey Haller role is great, very understated and perfect for the role in my opinion.Already on episode eight of "The Lincoln Lawyer" show on Netflix. I like it a lot and while I haven't read those books, and still have Mathew McConaughey's voice in my head, the new guy is pretty darn good IMHO.

I hope I will be able to finish before the new season, but I started a rewatch of The Orville this week. I'm half way through season 1.
